News today says Bale won't play for Tottenham again as they have angered him over the transfer... who knows... not long to go!

We should know soon enough!...Thing is, even if he does play... how happy will he be, and how well will he play?

Real will no doubt be holding out until the end of the transfer window, they're at the 'unsettling the player' stage. You would think both clubs want a quick resolution, Madrid will want him playing for them as soon as and Spurs will want the money to reinvest.

I can't see him playing in the mean time and I can't see him staying where he is. If he does play this month, I think that speaks volumes about where he will be, at least tuntil January anyway.

nono

If Levy sells Bale now then every enquiry for any player will jump in price by a few million.

Spurs, Led by Levy are playing this poker game at the highest level of supremacy .

Clubs are surely going to know you're flush anyway. Paulinho and Soldado were pretty big money, I'm sure Levy could negotiate his way to paying what he sees fit whether the Bale money is there or not.

I get what you're saying about playing a precise game, Levy knows what he's doing as well as anyone. If you do sell Bale, do you think you'll need one more big signing to replace him?

Hmmm, shifted him on to release funds for better strikers, some interesting choices out there.

Just done the same....freed up some money. I put in Walcott then read that he has a knee injury and is doubtful to start... thankgod for pre-season kick off transfers!

Arsenal player selection is an interesting one. On one hand, are the Arsenal tean good enough to get points? Maybe not. However given the minisucle number of players in their squad, at least you know your choice is guaranteed a start unlike players at Utd/City/Chelsea. Anyone taking a risk on Lukaku?

Cazorla and Mertesacker I woudl probably say are favs for the Arsenal team.

Anyone gone for Anelka (WBA) as a striker? Has he still got it?

Looks cheap at 5.5M, scored a few pre-season but will he be a bit part player as Clarke will no doubt continue with his 1 striker system playing Long up front.

I would have had a punt on him to have one better midfielder, but decided to save a bit in there and go for guaranteed starter and slightly overpriced Andy Carroll. Jarvis, Downing and Nolan will provide him with goals I reckon.

So in much the same way as it happens every year, only one player remains in my team who was there when I first picked a team. And I'm pretty sure every available player has been in my team at some point in between.

Sigh.

Went in yesterday to make a couple of last minute tweaks; half an hour later, I'd altered eight players!!

And despite all that faffing one of my starting 11 has still managed to start on the bench!
