True....but that's not the Chelsea way is it. Bring players through from the youth team ? Nah. Cahill & Ivanovic aren't bad players, but they are playing badly. They actually looked great 1st game against west Ham, but look awful now. Luiz is Luiz, brilliant pass for the Pedro chance but shambolic for their 3rd goal.
If we're talking players that just aren't good enough, start with the keeper. Good shot stopper but not good enough overall. Hazard is good when it's going well, but when it isn't, you might as well play me in his position. Pedro is crap. Costa never stops trying but has no support. And he's not a top draw striker anyway. Willian is in and out. Fibreglass looked great midweek and woeful today. Azpil is pretty consistent.
My lad was at the game and was more furious that only 4 players came over to the away fans after the match, despite good support throughout. Luiz, Alonso and 2 others he couldn't see.
Major work to be done, but the glory days are over. Best we can hope for is a decent cup run. We won't play CL football again for a good few years.
