Tough game tonight, Shakhtar have a great team and will be a real test.
On another note I hear certain black players are considering forming their own association. I wonder if Rio is behind this move, which ironically is an association which excludes white/other race players, to promote black players and equality. To me that sounds a bit racist......

Gave the ball away too easily. The passing was not accurate enough (balls being played behind players, and not in stride, etc).
As one of Torres' biggest supporters, I really want him to come good.....but even I'm starting to think that he actually is past his best now. He seems to be dwelling on the ball too long (doing a Mikel). Last night he seemed to want to beat the man 2 or 3 times rather than looking for the simple/ early ball. He's playing well, holding the ball up very well at times....but not looking like a 'killer' striker at the moment.
I also think that yesterday, more than ever, showed that Luiz NEEDS to be played in that holding midfield role. He looks dangerous in the link up play but just far too prone to mistakes to be an effective CB. I still think Mikel adds very little to the team, and even more so with this newer, faster style of play.
Was a good game to watch yesterday. End to end, and Shaktar played extremely well. But then again, we're talking about a team with 21 straight wins in the Ukranian league, and 34 games undefeated in all competitions. So whilst we took a bit of a battering, it was against a very organised side.
Hopefully, we can learn from this. We have looked shakey in defense all season so far.
