I wouldn't be surprised to see...Poyet rock up at The Bridge next season.
Wow, really? Can't see that one happening. He's had even less experience than Di Matteo had when he took over...and RA only gave him the job on a temporary basis.
Just don't think he has the credentials RA is looking for in a manager.
I advised him if they do come up and take any points off Utd he is on a disciplinary

I would like to see them bring in someone , probably from Europe, who is not a face yet but is up and coming.
As I have said before, AVB was the right man for the job. There's got to be another one of him somewhere, surely ?
The key is not so much who they bring in but the stability and support they are given. I wouldn't care much if we finished 6th next season as long as there is clear sign of a move in the right direction. Alex Ferguson didn't get results right away and look where he is.
That means getting rid of Lampard and Terry and starting a new age with no cliques in the dressing room.

AVB was the right guy and is doing a damn good job at Spurs.
RdM won the one trophy that was out of his grasp previously and still got the boot
Why would any up and coming manager take the job?

I can see his next move up the ladder being to a Swansea, Reading or WBA type club - just not straight to an established Top 4 club.London424 said:
It's a curious one this rumour.
My first thought was why would Chelsea sell Utd a player that will improve them significantly. It doesn't make sense.
But then my second thought was that TSO doesn't see Utd as a contender for the league as they are too far behind, but would quite like them to take points off City/Arsenal and make a chunk of money to help with FFP and allow him to spend big again in the summer.
So I could see it happen.
He could be playing it smart as you say, we have played you twice and we certainly won't be challenging for the league, but you are, so why not help us take points off the people around you, while getting back some money to spend on a striker. My first thought was why would Chelsea sell Utd a player that will improve them significantly. Can't see it happening, Moyes has bigger problems elsewhere on the pitch - left back and centre midfield for a start.
I don't know, I agree with you, but surely we are in an Ozil situation here, look at the lift it gave ArsenalPlus if we are moving to 4231 the a 3 of Januzaj--Kagawa--Mata feeding into RvP or Rooney does look very appealing and handily fks Young out of the team
I'm all for it personally, although I am dubious we have 40m to spend

Any chance Chelsea are playing Utd? Stringing them along for the whole transfer window only to pull out of the deal at the last minute?
This has crossed my mind, but one would hope that we would be looking at other targets as well and put some sort of timeframe on it (i.e. it happens by Sat or we pull the plug)I am hopeful because I think Chelsea want the cash for a striker, Mourinho doesn't rate Mata and wants to see us take points off the other top 4 contenders we are yet to play
But yes it could all be a massive mind fk

Well that didn't take long! Sad to see such an excellent player leave, and I'm a little dubious about the effects of strengthening Manu next season (whilst seeing the potential benefit the remainder of this season), but £37m is not to be sniffed at for a player who's not getting much game time. Will help with FFP if nothing else. Hope it helps him make it into the Spanish squad for WC, with the quartet of Hazard, Oscar, Willian & Schurle looking good as an attacking midfield options we should be OK. Thanks for everything Juan!
Genuine question from a Utd fan, personally I think we've got a better deal here than Arsenal did with Ozil, or am I over estimating how good Mata is?Well that didn't take long! I would say I think if Rooney wishes to go in the summer we won't stand in your way now, only way I reckon Jose has sanctioned it

I'm inclined to agree on the Ozil point - and bear in mind we're talking about a player with proven premier league quality as well now, our player of the season last two years. I hope you're right on the latter point, we could really (really) use a striker who can consistently perform. And score. Yeah, a forward who can score consistently (heretic!) would be nice....im said:

Wow indeed. And yet the only one bhing about how nasty the fans of another club are...is a chav.
Ah yes name calling. Very mature. What next? Oh of course, it'll be calling my professional credibility into question. That's your M.O. is it not?Deliberately provoke arguments or reignite arguments that have ceased.

Genius is such a misused word. Einstein was a genius, Maureen is emphatically NOT one.
I'd say either of these could apply to Mourinhonoun
1.
exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability.
"she was a teacher of genius"
2.
an exceptionally intelligent person or one with exceptional skill in a particular area of activity.
"a mathematical genius"

Why is it that people (the media, supporters of other clubs etc.) always like to paint Chelsea as a club in crisis?
Here we are, second in the league with a chance of winning it, in the semi-final of the Champions League (effectively ahead at half time), holders of the Europa Cup yet still people are talking about the manager going etc.
How many clubs would swap their position for ours given half a chance? Almost all if not all of them.
Give us a break, whatever happens this season, rest assured we'll be a force to be reckoned with next season.

The thing is who's to say Mourinho doesn't want say Suarez but Abramovich sees a picture of Ibra, likes his nose and buys him for 80 million against Maureens wishes and insists he plays every week.
