Hmmm. Put 5 past Wycombe. Mixture of Yoofs and Seniors on display.

It's the first time I've seen Zouma play. What a unit. One for the future I think.

Here are the goals from last night's match against Wycombe. A couple of the young lads who netted are ones I could see in the first team a couple of years down the road.

It's also nice to see us playing in yellow again. This is the best change strip we've had in years. IMHO.

Some good goals there, especially the last. The camera work and commentary however, appalling.

Romeu has signed a new deal. seems like an odd one. he showed glimpses under AVB, but with Matic, Cesc, Mikel and Ramieres I cant see him getting in the team any time soon.

When was the last time a youth team player made it through the ranks at Chelsea?

He's bloody good on Football Manager by his mid-twenties so he must be good in real life.

Rumour has it that Mikel is off.

It's probably a sensible move to renew Romeu's contract, If he continues to improve, he'll either get a first team place, or get sold at a profit if things don't work out. The thing that worries me a bit though is that he has no pace. And you don't get quicker as you get older!

Drogba set to sign a one year deal to return as a player-coach, and Lukaku will be given a chance season this season.

Here's a link to the Wail. It's been the main topic of discussion on the various Chelsea fora all day, with many offering to give him a lift to the airport. The story is being denied by Atletico, Chelsea and Torres' agent as far as I can make out.

I hope he does return to Athletico Madrid, this season isn't going to be any better for him.

It's Atletico Madrid.

As far as Drogba - no thanks. Everyone seems to forget that his last season was pretty ordinary apart from the Champions League.

More as a coach than a player.

By Drogba standards, sure. But you can't sniff at 13 goals (more than Torres in all but one season) or deny his presence. 1 year plus a coaching role (don't expect him to play week in, week out) seems good business.
