Hopefully that's Lukaku's exit cue, to one of the none Oligarch clubs wink
The finished article will be worth a lot more roubles, though. As is, he's just a mid league heavy hitter.

Costa just scored in the friendly, very good goal. 1-1 now. But we aren't looking very impressive. Fibreglass is the best of a lackluster bunch.

How he missed that I have no idea.

I'm not sure it was as bad as Twig made out. 1-2 at the end to us, but two perfectly good goals were disallowed. There were lots of good things I thought. Zouma. What a fking unit. He looks like he could run through a brick wall. Filipe Luis looked sharp. Of the youths, I thought Ake did really well. Costa fed off scraps, but scored a good goal when he had the chance.

Looking forward to the Vitesse game.

Pre-season friendlies are nothing but revenue earning training sessions.

Agree about Luis. Impressed in both games so far. Ake has always impressed me - got an old head on young shoulders. Fabregas looked good too. And, of course, we still have Courtois, Oscar, Willian, Hazard and Schuerrle to return.

Things are looking rosy.

If you don't win this year it'll be an even bigger choke job than last!

Diego Costa's first goal for CFC, for those that missed the friendly against NK Olimpija Ljubjana.

So we bought him for £18m, I can't believe we'll have sold him for much more than that. Are there any rumours on price?

I like him as a player but his attitude doesn't seem great.

Really ? I can't seem to recall his attitude being a problem.

He seems to very popular with the West Brom & Everton fans.

I heard £24 million, plus add ons that could take it to nearer £30 million, if Everton qualify for the Champions League. (So that's £24m then.....)

He chose to go out on loan rather than fight for his place. He does not seem to like the idea that he is not the main striker.

I've never really rated him. Playing for Everton against teams that don't sit back like they do against us is a different proposition for a striker and I don't think he'd cut it. When I've seen him play for us he didn't make me sit up.

We do, however, need to sign another striker. I don't trust Torres or Drogba as back ups to Costa.

28m is a good bit of business, but seems odd to buy him as the replacement for drogba, but you guys would rather sign ageing strikers in Eto, and now Drogba then give him a chance.

Surely after 2 excellent seasons in the prem he would be a perfect fit for Chelsea? Now you only have Costa as a decent striker. Torres is shot, and Drogba picking up a paycheck??

Quite! I'd have a bad attitude with Chelsea if I'd seen a useless Torres and Ba constantly picked before me too.
