Loads of empty's again , must be a worry.

Looking good gents, i think you will go unbeaten in the league this season. Too much over paid quality for the rest of us.

You mean too much quality; overpaid is basically every PL player....

That was a bit of a stroll in the end, despite a very rocky start.

Good night methinks.

Drogba slotted in as if he'd been playing all season, good understanding with Oscar/Hazard & co. Goal typical Drogba. Maybe doesn't have the legs for a full game but still very effective when he's there. Didn;t think it a good idea for him to come back. But I was wrong.

Remy comes on & scores. Doesn't get many chances, but clearly has confidence. So good to have both back up strikers scoring.

Good run out for Zouma, 45mins against decent opposition.

Willian, doesn't seem to stop running. Bit like Ramires but with more skill. He's growing on me.

Good solid defeneding in the 2nd half too, no real threat.

Not spectacular, just very efficient.

Unless you're one of those clubs who sell your Ferrari and spend it on a fleet of Mondeos smile

Ideally you want to be one of those clubs who sell their fleet of Porsches and buys a fleet of Ferraris and a fleet of Lamborghinis, some gold-plated Bugattis, Jay Leno's entire collection and then hires Adrian Newey and NASA to design some flying cars, running on Unobtanium fuel, just for sts & giggles......

wink

Both our backup strikers appear to be substantially better than the ones we let go of last season (especially the one we wasted a mountain of cash on). Good times!

Actually though Spuds were the better team for the first 15 minutes or so, but we got back into the game quickly. Drogba proving his still got some life left in him yet, and Remy getting a goal was good too, proves we won't have to rely on Costa all season, hopefully.

Do Chelsea really pay more? I mean, purchase price and wages?

The transfer league says that Chelsea's midweek line up cost £190M to assemble with only one home grown player & the Rubber dubs come in at £77M with no home grown players .

i think it's safe to say that the blues must be one of the higher payers in the premier league.

In terms of combined squad highest wage payers Chelsea are 4th and Spurs are 6th, hardly leagues apart.

Do you have a source for this ? i'd be interested to see it.

I take it it doesn't feature the 30 odd or so players Chelsea have out on loan.

Why would it? they are being paid by another team.
