Amazing!
My first match, Jan 71, I was sat in that rickerty old stand in the north east corner, currently where the Matthew Harding stand meets the East Stand. Away fans (Man Utd that day) were standing in the Northstand below us and they got a late winner, so went bonkers. I thought our stand was going to collapse!!
I started going on my own in 74. 50p to get into the Shed as a junior and 25p extra to transfer to the West stand benches. 75p to sit and watch Chelsea! Mind you, the product was utter st!

I suppose my first recollections of SB were with those massive terraces behind the goal which just seemed a mile from the pitch - talking 1970ish here ... (all thru MotD and pics in Shoot! and Goal!)
Seem to remember Dalglish winning the title for LPool there by sticking one in those nets which seemed to have no give in them. (taut fkers) ... the ball never rippled - it went in and out to the edge of the six yard box, they were like the ones at Hampden Park ... without the square posts though.
What year was that huge stand built down one side? Mid 70s? Was it before Wolves built theres - which stood about 30yards from the side of the pitch from memory til they moved the whole ground over.

AC Milan have signed Torres on a permanent deal now. Will be loaned to Athletico Madrid soon.
Sadly for us he was a flop at Chelsea. Gave us couple of good memories, such as the goal against Barca in the Champions league semis.
Wish him the best of luck.
Any idea on cost? Sadly for us he was a flop at Chelsea. Gave us couple of good memories, such as the goal against Barca in the Champions league semis.

I think you're giving them £12 million.
Well he had over a year left on his contract at £175k a week. Do the maths, we might have come out of this ahead. And don't think that the Colchoneros are all that happy. Listening to a few Madrid radio stations, the sports reporters there think he's a busted flush too. But that isn't CFC's problem any more.E65Ross said:

Tricky game later against the team I actually support (I live in but of the top sides it's always Chelsea I prefer. I still expect Chelsea to collect the 3 points.
Will be a tough game. Southampton are in good form, and a good defence too. Looking forwards to Courtois vs Forster.Black can man said:
Will be interesting to see who Jose blames today !
He'd be entitled to cast an eye towards Anthony Taylor for starters. Booking Fabregas for diving when it was a clear penalty was shocking then he blew for Mane to get treatment when Chelsea were on the attack even though it wasn't a head injury.Taylor is a poor ref amongst a crop of mediocre officials.

Those pictures must be old, one of them shows Spurs winning a trophy
I believe the only time they win cups are when they get you in the final eta - blimey, wasn't expecting Burnley to get anything today
