Unusual error from Matic in the build up to their goal; he could have played out simply (long) but chose to turn into them and conceded possession - then we were out of position and they explored the gap at l/b.. the rest is (recent) history. Annoying. Tbh it's probably a fair reflection of the game, and much as I'd like a win, a draw would be ok with me. Our goal was bloody magic though: fabulous crossfield pass, wicked touch from Hazard which left Company no choice but to leave it (sure og otherwise) and Remy right place & time, just as a good striker should be. Not a super high quality game so far, but that's often the way with such evenly matched sides, especially with big players missing on both sides - can't help but think we'd have a much better foothold if Cesc & Diego were on the pitch.

So... second half soon. They'll probably bring on Lamps and Dzeko, I guess we'll bring on Drogba and.......er....

oof...we look a bit flat. I don't fancy our chances if we concede.

Agree, poor performance, as has happened recently and the worry is the squad depth doesn't look like it can cope with loss of Fabregas/Costa at all, whereas City don't look affected.

I think City are just as hampered, as shown by their two defeats...but they have a bit more in this game for sure.

phew, that was lucky. Just kept giving the ball away at the end. Depth of squad showed when City can bring on Jovetic and Dzeko, and we can bring on ancient Drogba, Cahill and Loftus-Cheek! No excuses though, they should know the depth of the squad required and should have reinforced striking options. Remy played well, and hopefully can continue for the next 2 games.

To be honest I'm happy to be 5 points clear having played City twice

I think we have Utd at home and Arsenal away, in terms of top teams, theoretically the tough ties, but next week at Villa without Costa/Fabregas, I'll be holding my breath.

PS lol, we also have to play Liverpool at home!

Wish I had a 'mute968' option, probably in there somewhere. Unremittingly negative; boooooring.

Anyway; we were OK first half just about deserved the draw - magic bit of play from Iva-Hazard-Remy - but their goal was soft imo. Second half was a pretty poor game of footie for something that's supposedly 6x bigger audience than the superbowl. With top teams there's always that chance they'll cancel each other out. Thank god Lamps didn't score hehe BUT>>>> we're still 5pts clear, so FFS lets be happy fpr that!

Our next few league games are not too tricky, we'll have important players back, and we've seen that some of our subs are quality. So FFS can we try to be a bit positive and happy about the season; bring it on! Carefree......

Yeah same here. The one point is better than no points.

Terribly sorry I can't voice my opinions, whatever you think of them.

A point is a good result, in the circumstances, and as said above, most of the really tough games are behind us now, and quite a few homes games ahead of us, with some of the teams further down the table, so they should be able to hold it together.

Same here. Quite amusing to hear the City fans ringing 606 and proclaiming it a victory as well

No show for Moaniho or assistant after the game.. Still upset and having a tanturm over his 25k, the whole world being against Chelsea and Costa stamping ban.

What do you think Abrahamovich thinks of all his shenanigans.?

Simple isn't it. Everyone's talking about Mourinho no one is talking about the team. Pressures off on them and focused soley on Mourinho.

Hugely outnumbered by those cheering Lampards name. No question amongst the vast majority about Franks status. It would have been pretty universal if not for the sneaky dishonest way he ended up at City. But make no mistake, he's a legend at Chelsea and will be unreservedly lauded by us for the rest of his life.

You think what you like, every club has a few muppets

Another great atmosphere today especially first half but a huge contrast with tuesday in terms of attitude to the opposition.

The Liverpool rivalry is red hot from both sides , absolutely hate each other but with City there's no edge at all really.

We're rivals but theres little nastiness. All quite friendly in fact.
