The still above makes it look like Matic has just passed the ball and Barnes has come in late, when actually (as pointed out many many times) it is the opposite way round. Barnes has been naughty by prolonging his follow through so that he lands on Matic, which is very similar to what Costa did when he 'stamped' on Martin Skrtl the other week. Funnily enough the Chelsea fans reacted a bit differently to that one......

It's not a tackle. The Burnley player is in posession, passes the ball, then lands on Matic as he arrives, all in one movement. At least, that's how it appears to me. The stills look horrendous however.
I'm no expert on the laws of the game, but perhaps you could point out the one that says that violent conduct doesn't apply when you're passing the ball?Anyway you look at it, passing or tackling, a follow through with two leading feet studs up has to be a bit naughty.
Bad tackles & bad decisions happen up & down the country every weekend.
This is all just a smokescreen because the Chelsea didn't beat a lowly unfashionable small Lancashire team at home.
Jose asking to go on the Sunday supplement show ! When has that ever happened ?
He's doing your club more harm than good.

Nonsense. If that had been a tackle on Kane you'd be screaming your head off. Fergie used to make a fuss about such things. Didn't do manure any harm did it? Given we are still top of the league, I'd say he's doing quite well. This is all just a smokescreen because the Chelsea didn't beat a lowly unfashionable small Lancashire team at home.

Oh and if the red hadn't been so incompetent it would've been 3-0 by the time Matic was sent off. We failed to beat them because of the referee.

I'm not doubting the abilities of Chelsea , they have wonderfully talented players that are at the top of their game.Jose however is coming across as a bit of a tt again.

Indeed they do. But four major decisions all wrong. And 2 tackles that were definitely a red and a yellow and very possibly 2 straight reds, fail to get the ref to give even 1 yellow? Many pundits and commentators saying it was the worse single reffing display in the history of the PL.
Jose can be an idiot at times, but he's absolutely justified in his comments about this game.
And he has not brought Atkinson's integrity into question. He hasn't said he was a cheat or anti Chelsea, just that he was useless, which is fair comment.

I don't remember any heads being screamed off or our manager stamping his feet when Cahill assaulted Kane earlier this year.
I recall a Chelsea Spuds clash at the Bridge in the mid 90s, we won 4-3, and a disgraceful tackle by John Spencer on Justin Edinburgh (I think Edinburgh had to have a testicle removed as a result) and there was complete uproar for weeks. Spencer wasn't even booked from memory. Then there was Fash and Mabbut's smashed eye socket, that you lot were bleating about for months. So don't make out Spurs are all stiff upper lip and never get upset when they are the victims of horror tackles.

Three match ban reduced to two by the FA.
I swear they are making this up as they go along....
It's mental, isn't it. Either it's a correct red card, so 3 match ban, or it isn't and it's overturned. It's a binary decision. The FA are saying it was 66% correct! Utterly bonkers.I swear they are making this up as they go along....
