The Official Chelsea Thread [Vol 2]
Discussion
Top PL Clubs recently against Foreign Clubs has been eye opening confirmation of what I've suspected for a few seasons now. Our Premiership teams, whilst often entertaining, are nowhere near the level or standard of many Clubs elsewhere.
Very sad to observe.... another indicator of an also ran Nation losing its way at far too many levels ...

embarrassing, truly embarrassing performance. Just wandering around the pitch and hope Hazard can do something. What does Fabregas do on the pitch currently? And Costa? Hopeless. Deserve to be knocked out over 2 legs for sure.
They have to hope they can hold it together in the league, but I doubt it.

Hazard was the only one putting any effort in tonight. They have to hope they can hold it together in the league, but I doubt it.
As a neutral, I thought when de Matteo led them to Champions League victory 3 years ago a repeat performance would be far from easy. There seemed to be almost a begrudging appreciation of what he had been achieved, particularly by Abramovich.
Based upon what I've heard and read this evening another CL Final seems as far away as ever.

We reached the semi finals last year. Tonight we were just really awful. Congrats to PSG though. They played good and never gave up.Based upon what I've heard and read this evening another CL Final seems as far away as ever.

I'm not surprised the ref gave a red for that. Both players go in with some momentum, Oscar gets to the ball first. Ref can't exactly see whose studs hit whose shins, but Oscar rolling around like a baby, Ibra's "I didn't touch him" hands up, and 9 out of the 11 Chelsea players sprinting up to the ref probably swayed his decision.
Maybe a follow on from the lack of reaction to the Ashley Barnes tackle that may have contributed to him getting away with it. I bet they got a rocket for that from Jose.Mourinho started it yesterday in his press conference and the players followed it to get Ibrahamovic sent off. Shame they didn't try as hard to play football......

Nice of Terry to stamp on Oscar as he was on the ground
Keep watching it if you miss it -
