I think part of it is the fact that Gerrard came out straight afterwards and apologized and all the LFC fans know that he did a blatant stamp so no one is trying to defend him or deny it. Unfortunately the opposite was true of the Costa stamp(s) - he never admitted it or apologized, in fact he (or the club) continued to deny it and appealed the decision I think? Also lots of the CFC fans were defending him and saying it wasn't a stamp. So its the post-incident actions that seem to have affected the level of outrage?
The infamous "Costa Crimes" video was shown before any post match interviews were conducted, so no one had had a chance to confirm/deny anything.

Well the difference there is that the officials saw the Gerrard incident and dealt with it so there wasn't really anything to debate. Costa's went unpunished during the match

No no, you've got it all wrong. Gerrard is English so was just showing passion, whereas Costa is one of those dirty cheating foreign types that ruin our game

Anyways forget Slippy G. I thought Courtois had a good game, I know there was a massive gaffe for Hulls second goal, but he made up for it. The hat trick of saves in the second half was brilliant.

I'd drop Cahill to the bench, and start with Zouma. Ivanovic needs to be rested for a few games.

Totally agree with the Courtois comment. I don't know who got the official MOTM award, but he was mine.

As far as Ivanovic goes, I agree with that too, and as I've said before I'd like to see what happens when we play Filipe Luis on the left, and Azpi in his natural position on the right.

And, in danger of sounding like a busted record, with Ramires on the bench.

Well apparently in today's Mail Martin Samuel states it's possible to have sympathy for him and he "wanted it too much". Compare the headlines in today's papers to their reaction to the Costa incident.

I was quite surprised by the result. I didn't give us a hope in hell of being beaten to nil, let alone scoring a goal hehe

I believe we had more shots on target as well, though that doesnt matter if you don't score, and the stats don't lie. If we can play like that every game then I am confident we will survive the drop.

Next home game is Stoke on Saturday week. 5.30 ko I think. I'll be in Tokyo so that's 2:30 am. Ffs! I'll be lucky to find somewhere open showing the game at that time.

3 points but an unconvincing win, Cotsa out and Man U and the Arse still to come. Not quite over yet..........

Main thing is we got the three points. Their goal was a stunner, fair play.

Jose will set us up and take a point from both of those games - plus they still have to play each other.

Definitely not over though.

Your right, far from over. A 2-1 nitty gritty win is just as important as a 5-0 thrashing IMO. Hazard was magnificent, best player in the league. Remy popping up with some important goals too.
