If the goalie comes charging out for a 50/50 ball, if he is too slow and clatters the attacker, that's a pen and a yellow/red card. End of story.
I'm not even sure why it's being debated. If a player is late on another outside the box, it's a free kick and usually a card all day long. It's the same in this situation, how can someone see it any other way? laugh

Hopefully the first but not the last. A win would all but seal the title!

If you win tonight, win the title at Crystal Palace, Liverpool will have to give you a guard of honour right?

Gerrard would love that. laugh

Its a shame with our lack of available strikers that Isiah Brown didn't get onto the bench. By all accounts he's been excellent in under 21s.

Maybe in the final games of the season?

Why are the fans ironically chanting that? They've scored 3 goals against Leicester for fk sake.

Not watching the game but I'm guessing it's the Leicester fans singing that? Maybe they're bored of seeing them not lose?

Loved Mourinho's comments on that! Saying that Chelsea have scored lots of goals, and maybe interesting football is a game with lots of posession but no goals laugh

Nope, it's the Chelsea fans as Chelsea pass it around the back four. hehe

Funny how Arsenal were being praised for shutting out Man City earlier in the season, with commentators sagely agreeing he'd learned how to win

Yes. One more win and the league is ours. Today was never going to be easy, Leicester fighting for survival. This is how you win the league Slippy and Brenda.

Beat Crystal Palace, and Liverpool will give us a guard of honour coollaugh

37 year old Drogba still got more goals than Balotelli laugh Even John Terry has more goals rofl

Our defence has contributed 18 goals and 15 assists so far this season.

Is that 100% correct? Terry has four and so does Iva...who else is scoring?

As an Arsenal fan there is no doubt that Chelsea deserve to win the title, I think the 'boring boring Chelsea'chant was in direct reference to how you played on the day against us.

You went into the game with a 7 point lead and pretty much no chance of losing the title even if we had of beaten you. Why not play like you are champions and go for the win instead of playing for a draw? It generally the same game plan against the top teams, play not to lose rather than playing to win.

Last season we beat Arsenal, Citeh and Liverpool, who were the other 3 teams in the top 4, home and away. And we didn't win the league. A draw was all we needed against Arsenal so we set out to get one, although the 2 best chances of a goal during the game were ours and we were denied a deffo pen when Ospina clattered Oscar.

So it wasn't as negative performance as is being made out.

And as Negative Creep points out above, it was fine for Arsenal to shut out Man City earlier this season...

Gary Neville himself has said that the 'boring' label around Chelsea is nonsense. People remember the winners, I'd rather play boring and win the league, than 'exciting' and slip up short.

Mourinho does what he has to do to WIN. We can't thrash every side 4-1 or 5-0, its a tough and competitive league. We played attractive and slick football at the start of the season, been on top of the league since the start pretty much, and have only lost 2 league games all season so far.
