Have to say I'm disappointed by Gerrard's comments after the game. Of course the fans gave you a hard time during the game, you play for the opposition and have been a thorn in our side on more than one occasion, if the oppo fans aren't giving you a hard time it's usually because you aren't very good.
He could have shown a bit of class and thanked the fans for the ovation when he came off, they certainly weren't required to do it. It was recognition of a great player facing us for probably the last time.
Did he expect solid applause and adulation from kick-off?

Well it's Stevie G innit , Surely everybody thinks he's the son of Jesus don't they ? or is that just the Liverpool fans ?He could have shown a bit of class and thanked the fans for the ovation when he came off, they certainly weren't required to do it. I reckon he's still bitter for not joining Chelsea when he had the chance,

He seems like a nice down to earth bloke, so maybe no one has the heart to tell him he's not needed anymore?
Thats always the way I view it. I reckon hes part of the furniture. Never kicks up a fuss, not on massive wages. Perfect squad player really. will be sad to see him leave. I've always liked him as a player, simple football, never tries anything he cant do etc. and he's beenb at the club for 9 years! GarryDK said:
