Alfahorn, despite our apparent lack of class as often highighted by our friends in North London, Cech will be treated a lot better by our fans in the future than Ashley Cole or Cesc Fabregas are treated by your lot.

A top player and a top bloke, I wish him all the best, but with the odd howler when he plays against us.
Is that right?

There is an element of Chelsea 'support' who have made disgusting and threatening remarks towards Cech today and his family.

Secondly, yes there was some distasteful remarks aimed at Cesc last summer. I'm not sure why, he wanted to come back to Arsenal but the club decided not to sign him and Chelsea showed they wanted him. I don't blame him for going there.

Finally, you are clearly oblivious to the situation regarding Cole. This is a player who it is proven met Maureen in a London restaurant in the presence of his agent Jonathan Barnett to discuss a transfer to Chelsea WITHOUT the consent of Arsenal to whom he was contracted.

If ever a player deserved the abuse he got then it's Cole.

All clubs have an element of Neanderthal support. My advice; Make sure you know what you're talking about before attempting to take half witted potshots at others.

There are some vile fans out there.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-...

My point of view is that I am disappointed in Cech, after being with us for 11 years I would of thought that he wouldnt want to play against us. I dont really agree with the we are settled in London to move to Paris. How long does it take to get to Paris on Eurostar? He has won everything for us and for that I thank him, its just very disappointing. Seeing him wear that shirt is worse than Lamps in the City shirt.

He wont get a boo from me when he returns to the bridge.

I don't understand football fans.

In real life, if your employer's main competitor offers to double your salary if you join them (or in Cech's case, offers you exactly the type of work you love doing), you would jump at the chance. If your favourite footballer does exactly the same, he is a money-grabbing traitor.

Cech is far too good to sit on the bench for the rest of his career, he knows it, Jose knows it, and most Chelsea fans know it. Good luck to him.

An element??? About 10 twits on twitter (mostly from outside the UK) who the DM dug up to get some clicks out of.
It does not compare to the percentage of Arsenal fans who vilified Fabregas last summer and into the season. A good percentage booed him off at the Emirates in the league game.
Chelsea fans have a bloody good record of respecting our former players despite them moving on and in one spectacular case hurting us badly as recently as last autumn. Just wait until you see how well he's received when he plays at Wembley and back at SB.

Arsenals abuse of Cole is right up there with Spurs abuse of Sol Campbell. He lead Spurs on and allowed them to believe he would sign a new contract then coldly let it run down and signed for their bitter rivals with the club who gave him his chance and developed him left with nothing. If you don't think he and Arsenal had already agreed without Spurs knowing a damn thing about it you are deluded.

Its a very generous gesture to Cech by CFC to let him go to a close rival on his terms and should be applauded

On a different note, the 14/15 home shirt is down to £21 if anyone is interested.

How about the proposals for New Stamford Bridge? I heard on TS this morning that they are quite radical.

And why did he do that? Because you went back on an agreed deal with him and offered him £55K a week when other players who weren't as good were on far more because you had to buy them in. The club tried to mug him off because he'd been there since he was a kid so you thought you could take advantage of that situation.

Fortunately for AC, it was just as well you tried to screw him, as when he looks at his medal collection, I'm sure he laughs about it now. Especially the CL winners gong!

Does it have a singing section? That would be radical at Chelsea.

They should just pay the architects for a copy of Borussia Dortmund stadium plans and build us a copy of that. Job done.

Are you so naive that you believe it's just 10 people who've abused Cech following his decision to leave Chelsea? Also, when did you conduct the survey which concluded its abuse from outside of the UK?

It doesn't matter whether it's 10 or 10,000 the case remains an element of people who associate themselves to Chelsea have given Cech some pretty vile threats and abuse following his decision to move.

I agree Fabregas was judged unfairly. I'm not sure why you're labouring the point?

In the case of Campbell he made a rod for his own back by a) committing his future to Spurs and not following through with it and b) signing for Arsenal.

Whatever your view history shows that Campbell and Cole were right to move on, it's clear that they both could have handled it better.

Oh so it's acceptable for players to negotiate with other clubs without permission every time they don't get what they want? If he was unhappy with the terms he should have submitted a transfer request in the correct manner.

As for the cheap dig his medal collection. I don't have any issue with what he's gone on and won at Chelsea, his decision to move on was right for him. I have an issue with how he went about it.

Arsenal didn't screw AC. They made an offer to the player which wasn't acceptable and was probably naive and underestimated his true value but they didn't screw him.

I would say that if it is 10 tweets or so, then it's not too difficult to look at profiles and get an idea where the poster is from. I mean, it's not like you'd have to sift through all the folks from North London winning another Twitter poll for the Gunners is it?
