I see you have appealed against the Courtois red card - pretty cut and dry wasn't it?

perfect example of a suspension that should be extended for wasting everyone's time.

clear red. 3 matched + 1 for spurious appeal.

I'd say there's enough doubt to take it to appeal - not about the penalty which was stonewall - but whether he denied a clear goal scoring opportunity. It could be argued that Cahill had it covered and Gomis was taking the ball away from goal - probably still a red but enough doubt to query it in my book.

Plus it's only a one game ban, and going by FA rules wouldn't be extended for an appeal, so if the doubt is there, why not?

Other than the usual anti-Chelsea rhetoric from the rest of the league obviously.

Given that "last man" no longer applies, it was definitely a clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity. Had he not been fouled, he would have got to the ball, turned towards goal and had a shot, with only Cahill to beat. He may not have scored, but it was definitely a goal scoring opportunity.

Even as a Chelsea fan I have no idea why we are appealing that. He ran out and stuck his leg out late at a striker running on goal...

I thought it was a pretty questionable goal scoring opportunity. He had already pushed the ball pretty hard towards the corner before the foul took place, and there was a defender one step behind him. Absolutely horrifically poor challenge by the keeper. Why did he even stick his leg out there, he had absolutely no chance at the ball.

One assumes Courtois thought it was a goal scoring opportunity, because if not, why the fk foul him at all?

So, just to clarify.

Hazard gets fouled late on in the game and play acts to waste time. The referee calls the medical staff onto the pitch. They answer the call and do their job. Jose publicly berates and blames them for doing their job in an attempt to mask a poor performance by the team even though it has no effect on the result. Team doctor gets banned from bench for doing her job and thanking fans for their support. The club also decide to appeal a red card decision that everyone I've read or spoken to agrees was blatant.

Anyone embarrassed by all of this?

Nope, it's par for the course.

Now the FA have removed the extra game ban for stupid appeals, why not appeal everything? You never know, you might catch the committee on an off day.

I think (hope) Chelsea are going the same way as Rome, Mourinho gets a little more 'Nero' with every day.

What's more worrying is looks like he's sacked Eva. Selling favorite players is one thing, sacking Eva will get him in real bother.

I know Chelsea fans are understandably defensive WRT to the negative attention the club gets from other fans and the media but it's situations like this that certainly don't help your cause!

To me he has gone from someone I used to really like as an outsider to someone I cannot stand - he is like a child who doesn't get his own way in a sweet shop - very embarrassing behavior from him for a while now.

Even as a Chelsea supporter I've found Jose hard to like at times.

No doubting his ability as a tactician, but there are other elements to his persona which will, ultimately, lead to his downfall.

People will look back on this event and say "this is when it all went wrong for Chelsea this season".

I think they were daft to remove that rule personally but isn't it likely to get a bit 'the boy who cried wolf though'?

Keep appealing everything no matter how blatant and wasting everyone's time and at some point when you do have a valid appeal it will be ignored.

I notice no-one is defending Jose's BS regarding the medical team. Just goes to show what an absolute c**k he's become I suppose.
