So I assume Gabriel will also be charged for elbowing a Stoke player last week?
I think if you want the FA to look in to every historic event that has gone unpunished, Costa would be lucky to play professional football ever again.
So what has no happened is Costa has a three game ban, instead of the one game had he received two yellow cards. Gabriel, who Wenger admitted should have been sent off having committed an offence right in front of the officials, gets off scot-free. So now the FA are saying they didn't trust Dean's judgment? Strange how they couldn't do anything about incidents such as the Ashley Barnes tackle.

Still, good win tonight.

Costa's a cheating tt - he deserves a 6 game ban for that alone hehe

Our talent for making the ordinary look extra ordinary continues. Newcastle, who were hopeless this week are leading.

Amazing how a team with so much quality and winning the leaque so comfortably last season, are now somehow struggling against mediocre sides.

Must be something more to it.

Players fed up with his Royal Highness prince Moureen The Special, The chosen One ??

Probably just miffed they weren't allowed to go out on loan this season.

Well I would have taken that 30 minutes ago, but ultimately it's still not good enough to even find ourselves in that position

Dreadful. The last 10 mins can't paper over the cracks of that abject display.

Not sure wtf is going on. How can they be so abject when it was so important for them to produce a performance against a very ordinary team. How can they only start playing in the last 10 mins? Surely the team line up must reflect the successful players and the failures?

There are plenty of outlets selling records if you fancy a new one.

First half was awful, second much better, and Jose's subs changed it. Still the best result we've had at St James Park for a while. Just a couple of first choice players need to take a good long look at themselves as we were effectively playing with 9 men for large periods.

I would say 9 need to have a look at themselves. Only Azpilacueta and Begovic put in acceptable performances yesterday.

Can we please, please take Ivanovic off please? We have solid alternatives who aren't lead-legged liabilities.

/edit: Willian again! Free kick master!

keystone cops are defending today.

How is Ivanovic still on the pitch?

I'm starting to wonder if he has all the pics of Jose and Dr Eva. Still, it was always going to be a tricky game and at least we actually gave it a go. And we aren't Arsenal.

I think Jose has taken this team as far as he can and should be sacked.

He's 6/1 to get the boot.
