The defeat is hard to take.

Mourinhos post match interview is even harder. What game was he watching ? We lost it the moment we scored - we stopped playing. Whereas we used to be able to defend leads we can't anymore so sitting back on them is not the way to play.
He's behaving exactly as you'd expect.

I read an article earlier saying that you'd have to wonder if the players are as bored of it as everyone else is.....

This carries on for much longer and he's gone. Kind of ironic that the relaxing of FFP rules mean Chelsea can easily afford to sack him

I've always been one of those who will give JM the benefit of the doubt. Not that he needs it from a fat, middle aged Yeovil fan, mind you.

That said, his antics are dead to me now. I get why he does it, to deflect criticism away from his team and "protect" them. But his suggestion that referees are afraid to give Chelsea penalties is ridiculous afart Falcao's dive today. He was clearly already going down and let his leg collapse as the keeper got close to him.

He'll happily chunter on for five minutes about how life isn't fair, everyone hates Chelsea, blah blah blah but when it comes to discussing the Saints two cast iron penalties, he just says "I prefer not to talk about them". Really is pathetic and needless behaviour from someone who knows better.

Think this spat with Dr Carneiro has affected the players more than at first seems. Obviously she was popular with the players but maybe a few of them have had enough of his arrogant, bullying manner and are fighting him.
I don't really get the whole "players fighting the manager" thing. Getting on the wrong side of the manager seems suicidal for a player, unless you are indispensable in your position....which basically no-one apart from Begovic is in the Chelsea side at the minute. Very odd.

There's definitely something not right at Chelsea, These are the same players that won the league at a canter last season & do not become bad players over the summer.

Jose is just embarrassing at every press conference & i think the players have had enough of him personally.

What Italian woman?

That's what I was saying last week already, their are a lot of players underperforming, making strange decisions and silly faults.

But for now, this is probably what's keeping Gose in the saddle:

Well at least she is Italian, so that's a start!

Maureen effectively ruined her career when technically she had done her job properly.

Perhaps the chaps aren't happy with this bully.
She's from Gibraltar but I take your point. biggrin

At least the Chelsea Ladies are about to win the league. At this point I believe it's customary to make some quip about bringing them into the first team

I'm confident there will be a comeback story about Chelsea this season. We have a great team and a proven manager - we just need some significant changes to inject fresh energy in to the starting XI and to shake heads clear.

Probably not, but I think he rather wants to avoid it.

The cost of not getting into the Champions League would be higher. Wonder if Liverpool will get to Carlo or Klopp first though?

Given Carlo's CV, his bank account and looking at Liverpools current squad, I don't think he will even consider Liverpool.

If Gose can't turn things around my guess Ancelotti will be back at Chelsea in just a couple of weeks.

Given the way he was treated last time. I can't see it.

Not before you mention the removal of shirts when they score a goal.

Of all the managerial comings and goings we've had, getting shot of CA was the only that shocked me the most! Why?? He was great.

And I'll be gutted if Jose goes in the current meltdown.

Roman got shot of CA following 2 weak seasons in the CL, which at the time was the trophy he wanted.

If there are problems between Jose & the squad, I believe Roman needs to be decisive. He needs to back Jose to the hilt & have the players recognize none are indispensable. If you don't want to play under Jose then go, because Jose is staying. Frankly none of the players on current form are indispensable. They've kicked up st before & got managers sacked, they need to know those days are gone.
