No complaints about the red card, but isn't the advantage supposed to go with the attacker in such situations? His knee may have been a few mm ahead but there's no way the Linesman could have seen that so he shouldn't have flagged.

In other news, only just found out Kerry Dixon has been sent to jail. Shame, he was one of my favourite players as a kid
You are supposed to give the attacking player the advantage if there is doubt.

The linesman called him offside when he was. It was a marginal call, but correct all the same. If he was wrong there would be an argument.

I don't think that's right, Driver. It should be the case because it encourages attacking football but I can't find it anywhere in the rules or their interpretation that if there is doubt, he's onside.

First game that I saw was at Highbury in 84/5 when Kerry scored the equaliser. Real shame how he seems to have ended up frown

The camera angle wasn't the best last night. We were watching from a slight angle that would make the defender look further back than he was.

The linesmen are supposed to give the attacking player the advantage when there is doubt, but he made a call that looks to be the correct one.

He might have had a better view than we think and didn't have any doubt.

Either way you can't criticise him when he was right. Offside is offside if it's an inch or a meter. There would be an argument if he made that call then turned out to be wrong.

I'm a West Ham fan but I really hope that JM gets you guys winning again.. Apart from anything else he is a real character and there are precious few around.

Good luck guys- except when you next play West Ham.

Paper talk is he'll be gone is we don't beat Liverpool at the weekend. I can see it happening - the siege mentality has totally backfired and Roman must be fuming about the way he's conducting himself in public. Hiddink back in to steady the ship then go for Simeone in the summer?

Hiddink is nearly 70 and hasn't really covered himself in glory since he left us last time, and Simeone would be an idea, but sadly he doesn't speak English which may prove a bit of an issue. I've also heard Pep mentioned, however I'd rather watch cricket than one of his teams play week in week out - 80% possession is all very well, but if that involves the defenders passing it between themselves for 40 minutes each half I'll give that a miss. Also has a history of falling out with team doctors and getting tetchy in press conferences, and the list of ex players of his who think he's a bit of an arse is surprisingly long.

Personally I still think we'd be daft to get rid of Jose - the man is an absolute Chelsea legend and has brought us an incredible amount of success I think he's more than earned the time to sort things out. In all honesty whilst the result on Saturday wasn't what we wanted, the performance was much more like it and I thought we were well worth a point, even with 10 men, and if it wasn't for an inch here and a knee there, we could quite easily have taken all 3. The 2nd half especially, was not the performance of a team not playing for their manager, even after he'd been sent to the stands.

I think they're all shating themselves over the possibility of a hardback edition of the lovely looking Dr Eva's book.

I'd buy it .

Well, yes. Tika-Taka really is profoundly dull, but then I find a Mourinho team in full flight, such as us last season or Real's title winning season pretty impressive to watch.

Fair enough. Personally i find the only the only thing entertaining about a Mourino team is the press conference afterward, the brand of football he sets out to play is mind-numbingly boring and completely anti-football.

Penalties are always a lottery, but should have put the game to bed before then. At least we actually made a decent go of it though

Have Chelsea got a small squad? Practically the same team that played on the weekend played tonight.

What happened to all the youth players Chelsea have been hoarding? I thought playing some kids might have kicked a few players up the arse, and put some impetus into the side?

True. A better performance but unlucky result. Hate to say it though but I think Jose is doomed.

He seems to have lost that invincibility about him & sadly it seems the whole country is laughing at him & lets be honest here,he is behaving like a complete chump !

I like Jose & i would like to see him continue in the premier league being so charismatic, Some say that he is looking to get fired but i'm not so sure i think it's more to do with the Dr Eva business & Roman letting him know who is in charge. Missing out on Stones in the summer is the first target i can recall Chelsea not being able to get other than Modric & that may well be a reason he's not performing.

There are mumblings that he may be gone by the weekend.
