It's a real shame for Demba Ba. Can't help but think though, how bad the injury might have been if he hadn't done all that praying before each game!! Lucky the good lord was looking out for him. rolleyes

That time he prayed for a banana skin to appear under Gerrard's foot worked pretty well hehe

Looks like Demba Ba's career is over. I haven't seen the tackle and, from what I've heard, I have no intention of doing so
I have seen it and with some medical experience I can say that won't be easy to ever come back from.

rofl

That'll be the defining moment of his career. In 50 yrs time, that'll still get played on tv occasionally, and people will still come up to him in the street to talk about it.

That is absolutely nuts. Where does that put someone like Kane? More goals and a British mark up as well.

Probably similar to Higuain I would of thought. Probably why no one has put a bid in.

This summer has been nuts for transfer fees, Its all a bit ridiculous to be honest.

It's gone even more nuts than I thought it possibly could.

4hrs to go, I'm thinking a narrow home win, 2-1. If it's a rout that'll do fine, but can't see it. Cante should help give us a bit of strength in the midfield, I can see him carrying on where he left off - folks talk about maintaining his level at a bigger club, whilst forgetting he was pivotal in Leicester winning the league last season. If Conte can get the best out of the group (as with Italy) we should be fine. Hammers will be tough, Payet won't play the whole game but they've plenty others to fallback on.

There we go; I should put money on this. Hazard looked sharp as a tack, team organized. Good start

A bit of a laboured win - West Ham were there for the taking IMO.

Definite feelgood factor in the ground though, what a difference from the opening game of last year

Costa, did no one tell him about the rule changes re dissent. Or if they did, did he listen. Very lucky to stay on after foul on their keeper. And then hits a decent winner, having done not much all evening.

WHU looked much poorer than I expected.

Costa was sooooooooooo lucky not to get booked and sent off for the Adrianne foul. Game overall was ok, WHU were not 100% but then neither were The Blues. Top 4 finish????????????

Another late win, but last season we would have collapsed the moment they scored

2nd game in a row Costa has avoided a certain 2nd yellow, and then gone on to score. Sooo lucky.

Good results but ste performance which is reminiscent of last year. We can't defend and a new defender can't come quickly enough.
