Could have seen it coming a mile of but happy with that result. Sounds like we were denied another stone wall penalty
Two I'd have thought.

Still, a point at this stage is a step closer to having the thread title changed again.

Much better performance today, very please. How is the foul on Oscar by the goalie not a pen? Reminded me of Collocini on Demba Ba at Newcastle a few seasons ago, and we never got a pen then either!

Foul in the box, ball still in play. What am I missing here?

We'd have been champions a month ago if all penalties had been correctly awarded. Still amusing to hear the Arsenal fans whine about us being boring - enjoy your sexy football and one trophy in nine years lads

I must have missed all the Chelsea players appearing for blatant pen....

It was a 50/50 ball and Ospina had nowhere to go.

I thought it was a foul by the keeper, but it was also high foot by the Chelsea player. The high foot was first.

A high foot? He chipped the keeper! Better ban all those dangerous bicycle kicks too....

I've just seen the clip...how on earth that isn't a penalty I have no idea!!

For those (Arsenal supporters) saying where was the GK supposed to go. That isn't the point, every foul is the same, 2 players going for the ball, 1 gets there before the other.

It reminds me of the Schumacher v Batssiton foul way back when. Ironically also not a foul.

Well he shouldn't have come for it if he couldn't get there first. 99% of fouls are 2 players legitimately going for the same ball, one one getting there before the other, leaving the player who is late nowhere to go other than to collide with the player who beat him to the ball. That's what a foul is!

Just seen it on MotD and it's an absolute stonewall (where did that phrase come from anyway - the American Civil War General?) penalty and Fabreagas should have had one as well

The laws of the game don't prohibit a high foot. A player can put his foot as high as he likes. It only becomes an offence it it endangers another player. Oscars foot was no longer high by the time Ospina got to him.

Great honour for our 2nd best player of the year. But I doubt JT will care that he's been overlooked.

Shame that people can't get past JTs off field antics. At least his made it into PFA team of the year, 1 of 6 Chelsea players. Best defender in the league, Kompany who??

I've watched both legs. They put the senior team to shame in alot of their basics, very entertaining.

To be honest I don't think Cahill deserved to be in it though, he's been a bit wobbly this season

You're kidding surely, it was a penalty all day long, not seen a single media opinion otherwise.

you sound like Sean Dyche in his shameful defence of Ashley Grimes.

Hardly matters now but the list of denied penalties this year is laughable.

It's shocking that so many people don't know the laws of the game they claim to love. You'd almost think that from reading some comments, that so long as the ball was 50/50, it matters not if one of the players arrives late and clatters the quicker player who got to the ball first.

The reason I stopped playing 11 a side, even at my lowly level, was because I was getting far too slow. I was going for 50/50 balls and not getting to them, and fouling the younger bloke who got there first. In my last season I was sent off 3 times (quite rightly), whereas I'd only been sent off once in the previous 20 years!

If the goalie comes charging out for a 50/50 ball, if he is too slow and clatters the attacker, that's a pen and a yellow/red card. End of story.
