Some teams are champions league quality. Obviously they don't qualify as there are better teams in there respective leagues.

Didn't deserve to lose, but then I hope we learn the lesson that passing it around the final third does not score goals in itself!

GJ caught in possession and out of position for the first. Second was an own goal header from a cross. Don't remember specifics of the 3rd.

I suspect it will indeed be. He's looking as mobile as Sami was towards the end but without the solidity. Shame but age is catching up with him really quickly.

I only caught the last 30 mins, I thought we played well, looked good going forward, and how many last ditch blocks did they manage to get in. Unfortunately our defence is ste. That is the area Rodgers really needs to look at, we don't seem to be struggling to score goals considering we have only 1 top class striker, but if you are leaking 2 - 3 goalw a game then you are going to lose more than you win, and we can't buy a clean sheet at the moment.

But some more good experience for the youngsters, a decent performance, but get the defence sorted and we'll have a decent season.

Oh and that dirty that rugby tackled Downing should have seen red, he grabbed him round the neck and mage no attempt to get the ball.

I remember when we played Chelsea in Sami's last season. About 80 mins gone, we were winning and heavily pegged back in our own box. We brought Sami on and time and time again he rose like a salmon to head the ball clear and we won the game. I'm afraid I really can't see Carragher being that kind of player
