I'm not sure that's right but there is a clear distinction in my mind that it is a worse offence if you claim after diving than if you don't. In some of the dives I've seen this year, the player has been on his way back up and screaming for a penalty almost before he has hit the deck. That is wrong.RedTrident said:

Not sure I understand your sentiment here, given your previous public opinions regarding Borini.For me, whether he'd brought on Cole or Borini, it was all a much of a muchness. Neither was likely to have dramatically turned that game around.
In my opinion I would have actually started with Borinig, or maybe even Downing, and brought Sterling on part way through the second half as an impact sub.
Everyone hoping that BR has a word with Luis over the diving, surely though if he has any little bit of a brain at all he can see it himself ? Come on Luis we have enough to do in defending the honour of the club in relation to our current performances without adding horrible dives to it. I'm not going to panic yet, after all it will need time, if not finishing 1-4 then does it really matter where you finish once its not the bottom 3 ??

Not sure that is correct.At the point in the game when the sub was made we should have pushed for a win. Taking off a player with pace that is creative (Suso) should have meant we replaced him with an equal attacking force. Borrini does this with his speed and movement, he makes great runs allowing Suarez into space.
Replacing him with Cole gave nothing, Cole has little pace and hasn't been creative for years, in fact it was his first game back after several injuries. Did Brendan think that Cole was the player to unlock Stokes back line?
What did that change say to the other players on the pitch?

Well, BR has claimed Suarez is vilified, so maybe there will be no talk? Who knows. The dive was not great but it's happening all of and tbh I cannot believe how much press it's getting compared to the shocking stamp on ahemby Huth.... pullis has a nerve to ever speak about any player from any team with how his players go about their business. I'd have slapped Huth if he had done that to me.
