I had to be on the first page, I am after all the voice of sense and reason.

The game last night was a fair bit different to the last one. AVB did look rather relieved at the final whistle.

I'm guessing, well hoping really, that he's learnt that sometimes playing 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 isn't the worst thing you can do with a Spurs team with lots of pace out wide.

How Woy picks ox bow lake chaimberlain and whatshisface over Lennon I'll never know. His speed injures opposing players!

He had a great game yesterday, he's been good all season. His final ball appears to have improved too, perhaps he's finally gonna live up to his potential.

Also can I add, Jan Vertongen, what a player. He could be something very special.

As much as I rate Benny, I must admit Vertonghen looks like the finished article. Mind you, no one should have a problem with competition for places. Agree with you plumbs on Lennon. When we play the right shape, he's damage all day long.

It's deep and meaningful insights such as that one which make your contributions to Pistonheads unmissable. How you manage to condense a player's whole career into one word often astounds me.

I remember you summing up Pele's contribution to the game as "S'oright". And, who can forget your critique of Bobby Moore's positioning and reading of the game? "Slow".
