Defended well and once again Wilf and Yala gave them problems. Cabaye is going to be a legend. Needed those points today.

I knew that you lot vs Newcastle would have some goals! Cracking goal from Zaha for your third.

Well, we played like a different team compared to last Monday against Sunderland. Hopefully that was an anomaly. Can't argue with 5 goals against any team!

Great performance tonight, should have been 3 points to Palace. 2 clear penalty decisions not given, one on Jedinak and one on Cabaye.

Now in the top 6 smile

Well it was a good performance, but I think we certainly 'got away with it' after they hit the woodwork three times! I'd love luck like that every week...

Another great performance & 3 points, could have been more if their keeper hadn't made a number of fantastic saves.

We have Hennessey to thank for the three points, that's for sure, a world class save and a Mach winning save at the end. Good to see Punch back on form.

I thought Alan P was mad to leave Newcastle, though the money wasn't bad smile, and he eventually did the impossible last season and is now keeping it up this season.

Quite impressed; never thought I would say that about a man who leads with his head physically as well as mentally.

I know Roy is in charge of England presently.... but ......

A 0-3 drubbing by Chelsea. We have no depth to the squad, our two best players are out (Cabaye and Yala) and we don't have a decent striker...even when Wickham and Gayle and Sacko are fit! On the bench we have Lee, Jedinack, Williams and Chamack who, again, just arnt good enough for top of the table premiership football. Add this go the fact that Chelsea are bang on form again, firing on all cylinders with all their players fit and we were found out. We're a mid table side even if we do spend during the window on a decent goal scorer!

I agree.

I think our recruitment has been close to appalling since coming to the Prem. While you can understand the reluctance to overspend when new to the league, but we're on our third now and yet are still relying on the many of the core players that scraped us through the playoffs unconvincingly in 2013...

The ones that we have recruited have largely been disappointing. Goalkeepers of questionable quality (although Hennessey is beginning to win me over), Loads of mediocre holding type mid-fielders with limited creativity and cheap championship quality strikers that cannot find the net for love nor money.

I'm awfully worried that we're going to become a bit of a one trick pony with this counter attacking style. Once teams have us figured out we begin to look a bit poor, the team gets frustrated and we're ripe to be pulled apart like Yesterday.

I just hope Parish stops moaning about Agent fees or some such nonsense and starts getting quality in (as well as shipping the duds out).

We need of get rid of Campbell and get another quality striker alongside Wickham, hopefully Remy or Austin. If the rumoured bid for Shelvey goes through I can see a very strong core, so the striker acquisition is critical in my view.

Fingers crossed we get some good news soon...

or you get a dose of something you cannot get rid of, like the clap!

I guess on a season long loan he might not implode into self-righteous ttishness and cause a riot in the dressing room, maybe he might have a point to prove and work hard scratchchin

hope you are paying a pack of Wotists per game played though
