Very poor display against West Ham. Rudderless, poor motivation, very much in need of a firm hand on the tiller and one or two new faces. Some shocking performances yesterday and need for a new manager is obvious. With the window closing in a week these are a few critical days, I hope Steve Parish is made of stern stuff. The only way is up...

I'm am confused but I think we'll stay up with Neil at the helm especially as they're integrating Millen into a role that will work alongside him......don't know what will happen about Puncheon though!
Water under the bridge. If he's a professional he'll just get on with his job as a player or he'll get replaced.anonymous said:

To be honest Fergie retiring was the worst possible thing for Wilf. Whether or not Wilf was misbehaving with Moyes daughter, loaning him to Cardiff was terrible for him. He has incredible talent which needs nurturing but Moyes had no idea. Obviously OGS at Cardiff had some sway with his old mates at ManUre in order to get Wilf to go there but it clearly was unsuccessful. So although he's obviously been well paid, he's lost a year of his career and also much of his confidence and England potential. However, he is loved at Palace and we know what he can do. We welcome him back with open arms and I'm sure he'll be terrorising defenders very soon, starting tomorrow at Newcastle. As I said before, new era. Hopefully.
Great performance against Leicester, I was very impressed with both the defence and McJedley in central midfield. Bolasie and Puncheon both very good again, I think Warnock is doing a good job, just a little worried that Wilf doesn't seem to be slotting in yet. I know it's going to be a long hard season, but right now things are clicking nicely and we have some very good players competing for places within a good squad... 32 more points needed

Bolasie looks a decent player, Strong, powerful, quick & Enthusiastic, you'll do well to keep him at the Palace come January.
He's just signed a new contract, but also he's very inconsistent. Against ManUre he disappeared for most of the game, and for the last few months his shooting has been erratic/wayward to say the least. Of course we all hope yesterday's performance can be repeated regularly, but if it was then he'd be worth many mi££ions! We needed a good performance at Spurs after that ridiculous defeat against Villa. That was great, although very similar to Villa in that we should have won. Everyone saying that Spurs played badly but Palace pinned them back for much of the game. Very well deserved point, could easily have been three.
So, it looks as though the takeover by a squillionaire US businessman is to go through this week. I wonder what the next couple of years will bring? Being a dyed in the wool old school Palace fan I am naturally pessimistic, but if we really are going to become a Premier league fixture then a significant redevelopment of Selhurst is a must and a few quality players would be fantastic.
Have a look in your crystal (Palace) balls and tell me what you see...? We can look back at this thread in a year or two and see how close we got.
