That was another poor decision.
Swings n roundabouts i suppose.
Well, even the commentators on the match said it was a definite penalty. The issue was how stupid the Reading player was for grabbing Bolasie in the box as he was running towards the keeper. 'Inexeperienced' was the term they used. Was a totally different scenario to the penalty given in the Liverpool match where there was no contact at all before Benteke decided to dive.Swings n roundabouts i suppose.

Cant believe you are still whinging about a clear penalty last week.
get over it all ready... Bolasie made a huge meal out of that yesterday and he was never going to score or get near that bouncing ball.
You win some, you lose some.
yeh, whatever just like people whinging about Bolasie. Should be a great game at Wembley no matter who Palace play.get over it all ready... Bolasie made a huge meal out of that yesterday and he was never going to score or get near that bouncing ball.

es, The Brits don't like a diferent opinion, they all like to group hug and follow each other like lemmings. Enjoy your weekend.
It was Brits arguing over the Benteke one, Palace fans v Liverpool fansYour rose-tinted glasses are so tinted you cannot see out of them, even Vette has kept a dignified silence over this one

Different game, different officials, different circumstances. Palace fans hugely aggrieved when Benteke went down at the culmination of a dreadful run of bad results, perceived injustices and bad luck. Surprise surprise other fans are unsympathetic. We moved on after much trauma on the part of Palace fans and much hilarity from everybody else. Then we finally get a smidge of luck when the ref sees Bolasie being impeded and although he goes down like a sack of spuds we actually get a pen and he doesn't get booked. Praise be. Palace fans now happy, everybody else accuses us of double standards.
If you simply compare the actual penalties (and the opinions of the 'experts') then you have to say that in the current climate it's no surprise that both were given. However the circumstances that lead up to these games was entirely different. But the reactions of everybody are understandable, so personally I'm just moving on and I'll put it down to karma.
Also, it's a bit of a first to have non-Palace fans coming on here to have a pop, but that's a reflection of our current status I guess, so we have to live with that too (for the time being, until we're back in the championship).

only if supporters whinge about Benteke and not Bolasie or vice versa - accept both or neitherLe Vette said:
...another bit of good fortune with the sending off. Although his foot was high and studs were up and it was a possible leg-breaker, even Clattenburg saw it as a sending off. Praise be. Still need not to lose next weekend....
Definite red card. As you say, very lucky Gayle didn't have his leg broken very badly.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
