It was a brilliant day. There was just a buzz around the town since the supporters trust announced the receivers had control of all the accounts. Old people were talking about going back as they had been worried they would never get to another game again, parents taking their kids on for the first time etc.

Good to have something to do on a Saturday afternoon again. I'm going to use the remaining games to try different seating areas, before getting a season ticket again for next year. I always had the same seat prior to stopping going.

A video of the day that somebody cobbled together from various sources.

We are free of the Oystons at last woohoo

We have a new owner, Simon Saddler, a local born lad who is now Hong Kong based where he set up Segantii Capital Management in 2007.

It would appear that he has money as he was able to pay £220k back in 2014 for Sir Stanley Mathews 1953 FA Cup winners medal. He's bought 96.2% of Blackpool Football Club Ltd (the other few % is owned by individual fans from years ago), and 100% of Blackpool Football Club Hotel Ltd. He's also bought Bloomfield Rd stadium, all stadium related property and the training ground.

Sad that it appears to be the end of Belokons involvement.

So Grayson is back. What do you make of that appointment?

Part of me is a little disappointed as I was hoping Ollie might be tempted back...

Not a lot (as in make of it)
I am a bit cynical of the reasons for McPhillips going TBH. It just seems a bit odd to me

Yes it happened quickly, they clearly had Grayson lined up in the background

Not sure of the real reasons McPhillips left, but Grayson is a better manager so should be good news for the club

Rather have Grayson than Holloway.

Good record in this league getting teams promoted to the Championship (Us, Leeds, PNE, Huddersfield), although his last 2 appointments haven't gone well.

The games I watched after returning at the end of last season were not very good, although we did have a rubbish playing surface (again). The pitch has been relayed and funds made available for new equipment for the ground staff,
