I remember calling someone a prick in the Spurs forum last season & assorted outraged northerners piled in at length demanding a ban. Quaint that. laugh
I got banned for calling you that. You got left alone for calling a few people it. It was only me though who passed comment, rather than "piling in" and I was just pointing out the hypocrisy in the outcomes.

I also got a 3 day ban from SP&L for using this smiley ------> censored I didn't use the word, but the old mod reacted as previously.

Hypocrisy is a two way street ain't it when Keyser Henley dishes out the swears like sweets.

You know you're free to take up your grievances with the mods? It's got nothing to do with me, save to say your bedside manner mitigates against you in general, whereas I'm well aware that I'm a prick. Self awareness innit?

Last time I mailed one of them about something that was not connected to the football stuff, you Spuddies went into a "grassing frenzy". I think im shot his load through the ceiling he was so excited.

I don't judge others, but today I've been called far worse than a prick both to my face and probably behind my back, so I'm unlikely to get upset by it. Double standards are my bugbear. Said issue is long gone though.

How long has RVP been injured for now? Reminds me of his Arsenal days.

Too long! Pretty sure his last game was against Arsenal...in November

Anyone know why the Coentrao situation just fizzled away?

This is one of the problems with Jones though who appear to be coming a real love/hate player. He does make a few slip ups but is it any under when he's player every position bar striker and keeper? Someone needs to decide if he's a CB or a DM and them play him there. Permanently.

Look at what a bit defensive stability has done for Arsenal? Imagine how much better Liverpool would be at the moment if they could muster a bit of defensive stabiltiy?

Cheers Franki, shame, as I think he would be an excellent addition...

The story is that Real were looking at Moreno to replace Coentrao, so we started looking at Moreno, although quite why I am not sure as Real were advised they cannot have him until June

I think Coentrao will still happen this month

Lot is noise about Mata, what do we think?

Player of the year for Chelsea in the last 2 seasons, lots of goals and assists but very much a number 10 as opposed to a midfielder....

Would significantly improve us and did play as a winger pre Chelsea, I would be VERY happy to get him, but remain doubtful we have 40m to chuck at a club

IF it does happen, one would assume we would line up thusly and its sexy as all hell, plus in his 13 games this season he has created more chances than the rest of our midfield put together

--Rafa Smalling Jones Coentrao

--Fletcher/Felli--Carrick/Cleverley

Mata---Kagawa----Januzaj

Rooney/RvP----------

But am keeping my powder dry for now until i see it confirmed

Like the line up, would slot Rooney in where you have Sinji.

Yeah I know what you mean, I put Shinji there because I think he would work well with Mata and Januzaj but also because I worry RvP may be in and out for a bit with injuries and would rather use Rooney as a 9 than Wellbz or Chicha

Sadly I think we are going to have to prep for life post Rooney. I can see him running the contract down and leaving for nothing in Summer 2015. That would make Mata ideal.

I think he would be useful but not sure about £40m useful - effectively Chelski are valuing him higher as a current bench-warmer / non-compliant than the bids that were being reported for Wayne?

They've got something that others want but they don't need to sell. They can charge what they like.

We've for someone we need to sell before he's a free agent in 12 months. We can't charge what we want.

Agree with Loon, also just because he isn't playing at the moment doesn't make him a benchwarmer Mourinho has history for falling out with players and freezing them out, he was their player of the year for 2 seasons running

I think Mata > Ozil

As I said - current bench warmer so has the potential to be frozen out completely? I would have thought that he needs to be playing this season so a carefully crafted move could be negotiated and driven through. The worry is, we get him then end up losing Wayne, RVP and also feel that Kagawa is surplus so end up with less creativity than more.
