Sad to hear, only read an article in my local paper today talking about a Sunday league appearance, I was thinking of going to watch one of my boyhood idols

He should take a trip to Switzerland and get it over and done with. It's clear he doesn't want to change. Imagine how amazing it would have been back in the day to say Gazza was your dad, and now look at what hes turned himself into.

Yet another one to seemingly chalk under tortured genius that couldn't cope with life once the career had gone. I too was rooting for him after reading the feelgood story about him playing Sunday League. Certainly one of the most gifted players I've had the privilege of seeing, but that burden and the emotional guy that he is, it's hard to see him now.

Rooting for him to stay off the bottle but pessimistic about it at the same time. Just don't spunk a donor liver up the wall like Best.
