York city are in league 2. Bedford has a larger population than Guilford according to Wiki and no top team. Any other offers?

Interesting thread. I've just had a look at towns by population and worked my way down from the top.

The Aldershot urban area has a population of 243,344 and their team are currently in the conference and have recently been put into administration.
