I'm a football fan....it's not my life, its not the 'be all and end all' for me but I am a season ticket holder at a VERY recently promoted premiership side and I try to get to as many games as I can. I believe VERY vehemently in club before country although I do want England to win when they play but that's about it.

I'd rather watch a good movie than an England game, unless it's a very important World cup/Euro game and I'd never even consider actually attending an international. So, who actually goes to England intenationals especially a friendly? Anyone on here? Why would anyone want to watch a team of premiership players give a half arsed performance for an over inflated ticket price with beer at £5 a pint and a 20 minute queue for a toilet, not to mention a trip home that will mean you're getting to bed....late. Oh, yes, its half term, take little johnny to see some of his MOTD heros....call me a sceptic if you want but I'd rather go to my local non-league team than go to an England game.

I've been to two. England 5-0 Malta when Malcolm MacDonald scored all five and England 0-2 Holland, when Cruyf ran us ragged.

Although I'll watch England qualification and tournament matches on the box. I wouldn't go to see them live. I can now hardly be bothered to watch England friendlies. I certainly will not be glued to the box tomorrow night.

I don't even want to pay to go to London, never mind see those tossers play.

I've been to about half a dozen England games including 2 at new Wembley.
I got the chance to go tomorrow night but can't be bothered so not exactly commuted.

I hate the fact that all home games are at Wembley.
It's hateful to get to - even though its a great stadium it's in the wrong place.
You can only get to the games if you live in London and even then most people leave before the end to beat the traffic / get last trains.
England games - especially friendliest - should be toured around the country. It will generate enthusiasm for the national team at least and get younger fans along to some of the games. That's rather than coach loads of NW London school kids to fill the seats.

By the sound of the crowd at Wembley, 12 year olds and a stupid fking band that drone on all night. The sooner they ban that the better.

I didn't even go when I lived in Wembley and could get free tickets (I worked for a sponsor).

They fail to generate any interest unless we're in a competition - then they fail to deliver.

I went to the England vs Sweden game at the 2006 World Cup which was fantastic.

I wouldn't go to a friendly though, its bad enough watching them on TV.

I just cant stand that bloody band constantly playing the same songs over and over again.

I used to. I used to really enjoy going as well. I never paid for any of the tat or inflated beer, rather I went because I loved the build up and atmosphere (I used to go to more qualifiers\proper comps than friendlies)

But I stopped when I realised that I didn't want to pay good money to see Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, Cole and Rooney. Five of the biggest tossers in English football who never really achieved their potential at international level.

For all the hype, for all the "this is our tournament", we had the 2010 fiasco, for all the "We are England, we are the best", we had the "wally with a brolly", The Euro's, struggling in the group stages, I could go on.

With every game I went to I became more disillusioned with the inevitable- we would do well in friendlies and the belief would come back and then they failed to deliver. Each and every time.

I still watch England on the box, I still wear the shirt and I will bring my children up to support their country (we live in Austria), but unless something drastic changes or its a very special game, I will not go again (maybe I would if the tickets were free!)

For the record, I think the German's and Spanish have a beautiful model- all the internationals are at two (or three) clubs, with the majority at the title winning club all playing with the same philosophy- I wish English football would learn from them. Thankfully Arsenal now have a core of 5 English players who will become full internationals and they will play with the same philosophy as at club level. I want to see more of that, I want to see our top clubs pumping out 5 or 6 English players.

I read only 28% of the Premiership are eligible to play for England, and that is very sad.
