I'm sure that the thon can be done in different ways, but in my opinion, this is the best thread on the footie forums because the banter on this thread is usually fun and taken in the right way and the table, publishing your own predictions and the competition are really good. I've really enjoyed Hammer67 predicting a 0-3 win for West Ham, getting derided and then being right. I like the fact that we see the teams we support and can laugh at Man Utd fans being at the bottom of the league, Saints (for the only time) being near the top and the healthy Liverpool/Spurs rivalry. This thread even during this debate has remained civil with next to no name calling and people expressing their views. If this is the sane bastion of footie forums, then long may it continue to provide interest over the whole weekend when your team has lost.

It takes someone to invest time and selfishly, I don't have that time but I enjoy playing. Hope we find resolution.

Couldn't have put it better myself Jiffle. Arguments and bad feeling have never been present in this thread, it's like a little oasis in the maelstrom. Long may it continue. Selfishly, I only hope someone has time to run it as I don't have the time myself.

Good points Jiffle, another alternative is to set up a thread on 'The place that can't be named' where all the naughty posters hang out.

That means all the regular 'thoners would have to join and then im could run it from that site. Then I could call Hornetrider a censoredcensoredcensored you censored without getting banned.

Just an idea.

OD - How much work are we actually talking to run it?

When I last had a go there was a lot of manual work involved, however I understand the spreadsheet has evolved a lot since then.

I'm not going to be involved this year (I managed to forget a few weeks this year and then it was too late so would rather my place go to someone more deserving) but I am happy to look at the spreadsheet and see if there is anything I can do to automate it some more

I'm basically st at it so won't be participating this year, better for my place to go to someone who wants a bash at it.

I simply do not have the patience or inclination to help out with it, hate computers 99% of the time.
Good luck finding someone to step up.

I've had a bit of a rough time in my personal life during the back half of this season hence why I missed quite a few weeks so apologies guys. Things are on the up now so I will be participating in a full capacity next season.
