True, but I'd rather watch an Everton win against them than a United win, despite it helping us out.In addition to laughing at United, (I don't have anything against United or their fans really, just wasn't a fan of Fergie, I'll be ambivalent towards their results next season I'm sure) I think a bit more pressure from a decent side also trying to secure a top four finish could help us deal with pressure higher up the table in the future.

The fact remains we need to ask why we suffer so many injuries? why we didn't strengthen when we needed to? How much would we have acheived if we had a world class centre forward? How things could have been different of we had more pace? What could have been acheived if we had a manager who understands the need to adopt different strategies/tactics?
We played particularly well once we took the lead, we controlled the game from that point forward. Come the summer it is time for change as once again we seem to get results in the league when the pressure to some degree is off us.
We all know he tried to sign one world class forward which didn't come off for reasons we now know more about. Instead we got Ozil....Arsenal have been very explicit both would not have happened. I think we've got more chance of adding a world class striker this summer with Ozil in the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see Suarez go to Real Madrid which might see Benzema come our way.
Should we have signed someone in Jan? Yes. That said the only two players I can think of that we're Arsenal quality that moved anywhere were Matic and Mata. There are plenty of clubs that didn't sign anyone.
The injuries have been very unfortunate but Wenger himself has said they're "looking at everything"...I think the likes of Ramsey and Ozil got injured because we were without Poldi, The Ox, Theo etc for so long. That was always going to catch up.
A couple of upgrades, a world class striker, some luck with injuries and a core of young players that will be a season older and better will see us challenge next season.

Agree with much of that. However, the one thing we don't agree on and will probably never agree on is the position of the Manager himself. We will NOT mount a sustained challenge for the title without either a) a change of Manager or b) the current manager changing his phylosophy. I'll be agreeing with you if this summer doesn't see some major transfer action. As I have said for a while....summer 2014 there are no excuses. The new commercial deals are signed, the stadium is as good as paid for.....no excuses. They've got an extrea £60mil in revenues on top of the new additional £60mil from the TV deals.

You'd hope so wouldn't you. Although with Arsnes position at the club undecided It would be a very different club to the one he left if he was to leave. I think he's loyalties lie with Arsne more the Arsenal IMO. And with every top club going after him if he was to jump, it would prove very difficult to entice him here again without Arsne at the helm.MrMagoo said:
