I want two forwards signed in the summer to go with Giroud. I can't see Sanogo making it to be honest.

So, Cesc Fabregas? Would you buy him back, or not what we need.

Not sure how much he'd cost but it'd be over 20 million I'd imagine. Out of all the positions another MF is not what is needed. Saying that a midfield of Cesc, Ozil, Ramsey and Jack is enough to induce wet dreams yes

It would be the stuff of wet dreams but it would cost a lot more than £20mil....Arsenal are supposed to have the option to buy him back if he ever leaves Barca. He isn't exactly what we need right now but you couldn't say no. He and Ramsey are very similar players now I think.....we could rotate them each week!

Yep, Cesc has got £35 mil written all over him. Anything less than that and someone has bargained very well.

Cesc may not be what we need but he is one the best in the world in his position, so of course it'd be great if he came back. But then of course, his sizeable transfer fee would mess up any other potential signings.

And for that reason we need to look elsewhere. Transfer decisions need to be rational not emotional.

I remember reading somewhere that Barca were trying to bring Ozil back to Spain. Would you be ok for a straight swap ?

In short no. If a Arsenal can sign a world class striker a spine a WC striker, Ozil, Ramsey makes me feel quite excited. Cesc is too similar to Wilshere/Ramsey.

ramsey ? the difference being fab4 is proven at all levels, IS a natural leader/captain, has the burning will to win, is far more accurate long and short range passing , can single handily dictate the pace of the game and finally has been there and done that over a few seasons for clubs and country.

ramsey ? hes had a good season and scored a fair few goals. great. a good player but lets not get carried away or forget just how good some of our ex players are/were.

i would take fab4 back in a heartbeat .. he is precisely what AFC needs.

fab4 will walk into any top flight team which will be reflected iby the frenzy if he goes on the market this summer. we only have one player at afc that you can categorically say that about and that's ozil.

I didn't say he wasn't better....it's that he's a similar player and wouldn't add as much to the team as a striker. Sure I'd love to see Cesc, Ozil and the "World Class Striker" in the same side but I just don't see that happening unfortunately.

Unfortunately I think the fact Arsenal have got a buy-back clause means he's less likely to leave as Barca can't get full market value for him.

IMHO, Cesc isn't leaving Barca anytime in the immediate or near future, I really don't understand his name coming up every time the talk of transfers is mentioned.

As a bit of a La Liga fan I've watched a number of Barca games this season, and Cesc hasn't looked at all happy to me. I think that's been reflected in the way most Barca fans have treated him. He's a world class player but not in the positions he's often used in. (Was playing as a bloody striker at one point when Messi was out!) I think there's every chance he'll be leaving this summer personally.

agree. and he like flamini is Mr arsenal.... i really think if we could unlock him it would be such a solid piece of business. hes easily worth what we paid for ozil and more imho.

just give him the amband and off we go.

then theres a striker which is a given.

Frimpong has been released by Barnsley!

Dearey me, what a waste of talent. He's could be Prem quality if he put his mind to it IMO.
