2 players who left to further their careers/bank accounts are "Mr Arsenal"?

Bizarre confused
I can understand the Fabregas thing. However I agree regarding the idea that Flamini is Mr Arsenal. That's a complete joke, utterly stupid comment.

Fabregas took a pay cut to go to Barca...had to do it to get the deal done IIRC.

I don't think there is an Arsenal fan who doesn't understand his motivation to go back and unlike some of the other s that left for similarly big numbers he's had nothing but good things to say about Arsenal since.

When MF left it was because AW offered a derisory contract thinking Diaby was the future.
Modric Bale - quiet Spuds, back in yer 'oles!

See Yaya (never make a box to box midfielder) Toure scored again tonight.

We know the mistakes our manager has made, how about counting up the aggregate errors of the 'disappeared of N17'

agree.

and he does have an apparent seemingly genuine love for the club. flamini was bought for nothing and paid an absolute pittance by AW. he wasn't treated particularly well with a new contract request in 2008 when he had become quite a key and versatile player that the fans started to love. what do you expect? milan saw literally a ready made gattuso replacement and just stepped in and offered fair value while AW tried to low ball him on value (so whos respecting who here?).

just like any professional environment you have to pay players what they are worth ... and you have to admit, our aspirations hardly aligned with absolute top flight player like fab4 or rvp. lets face it, if they know the club isn't setting up to genuinely try and compete and win (as opposed to just qualify for the CL) its going to grind anyone of that calibre down eventually. the poor guy had to put up with replacements like almunia, santos, squillaci, swiss tone, park chu-young etc.... its going to hurt !!! imagine your bonus or proffessional career progression being held back by morons that you have to rely on in the office.

ozil may have this issue soon if AW continues with the poor boy having to pass a final ball to a player of girouds calibre.

its never a simple case of being a money grabbing **** both FAB4 and MT have shown leadership, loyalty, desire and 'arsenal' passion on the pitch over and above most other players of the same period.

They do seem to have done a good job of getting most of the current squad on to new contracts. Job is only half done though.....

Results of a poll on one of the fan pages:

78% of the Arsenal fans want Arsene Wenger to stay. 13% want him to go and 9% don't mind either way.

Good to see Jenks get his first Arsenal goal and nobody get injured before next weekend ? Anyone going ? I am going to see if any tickets come up this week cheaper than the £650 + VAT I was quoted a couple of weeks ago!

Nice win today, but really not bothered about it as all I can think about is next weekend!

I wont even be trying to go at those prices, so will just end up down the pub, pissed as a fart whether we win or lose!
