Not sure how real this story is at all to be honest. The people that I think have credibility on these things seem to have been very quiet. If things are imminent they normally are hinting at it by now.

I guess we'll know by the end of this week...he's back in Germany today...it would make sense that if the deal is imminent it is closed before he goes oh holiday.

Yep, if I was Wenger I'd make sure he had 3 or 4 years left on his contract & encourage him towards the transfer market (preferably abroad).

Newspaper reports this morning (can't remember which one as was reading it over someone shoulder on train ) says that Khedira deal is off with us as we refused his demand for £150k/per week and Chelsea most likely to sign him as they'll likely meet his wage demand and Maureen worked with him at RM.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw it that way.

Whilst everybody was getting their knickers in a twist about signing him I said at the time we don't need him. We need a Khedira or a Bender, we have creative players in abundance.
