I do love the look of the new kit, I think Debuchy is a a great signing. Certainly feels the gap Sagna has left, could well be an improvement defensively according to some. I Don't know much about him but look forward to seeing him play.

Another GK and DM plus an additional striker and that will be my wish list completed! providing Vermarlen stays too.

Seen a photo of Theo back in his boots training, That will be a massive boost for us. Also cant remember the last time Diaby was fit for pre-season! If and it is a big if, he gets a run of games he could be a very important player for us.

It's quite difficult to select a first choice midfield ATM.

IMO we should have dumped the petulant, lazy little prick Wilshere and bought back Cesc.
Bit harsh. The same Cesc that bent the club over a barrel to get his dream move? And then came crawling back when things didn't go his way?
Glad I'm not the only one who saw it that way.

Whilst everybody was getting their knickers in a twist about signing him I said at the time we don't need him. We need a Khedira or a Bender, we have creative players in abundance.
I wanted him back at the time, but with hindsight it was the correct decision 100%. Piss 30 odd million on a player who is little better then what we have, or 30 million on one of the best young talents in the world in a position we've been lacking for some time.

As a Newcastle fan, although good business for us, Debuchy is a real quality player. If you look quality in Newcastle's defence, you'll be world class when playing with defenders who can actually defend. He will do well for your lot!

Great to hear! I have read he's decent in the air. Can he cover CB like Sagna did ?

If we get bender or khedira, I'll have to have a cheeky tenner on us to win the title!

Good to see the club moving quickly with transfers this summer.

Any centre back rumours?

I'm glad you agree.

I know I'm prone to erratic outbursts, however in this instance I allowed my head to rule my heart in believing it was right to let Fabregas go elsewhere. I believe we're well catered for offensively and needed to focus elsewhere and pleased some others are now seeing sense.

Very happy with the two deals completed. A keeper, defensive midfielder and striker still needed for me. I think the Khedira thing is reminiscent of Higuain last year and I don't expect that one to happen.

Seen a couple of stories about very young prospects...no one established.

New book coming out next month

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arsène-Arsenal-Alex-F...

Read a bit about it, apparently got lots of inside info and doesn't pull any punches.

The side is taking shape for this season;

Szczesny
Debuchy
Mertesacker
Koscielny
Gibbs
?
Wilshere
Ozil
Giroud
Sanchez

That's how I see us lining up, the question mark being who is going to take the defensive role. Also, no starting places for The Ox, Arteta or Cazorla for no reason other than we're so well stocked in midfield. I've thought about it again, I suspect if we can get a quality defensive midfielder and keeper that may be our business done?

Unless young Jack performs brilliantly in the pre-season I can't see him being preferred ahead of Santi, Ox or Tommy R. Zelalem may be ready too.

Surprised you've left your best performer last season out of the whole post...Ramsey. Oversight surely??

Well it's unlikely they'd line up with only 10 players anyway, I imagine he will be the 11th... hehe

Funny how you can get blind sided! I'd forgotten AR too, and yes him ahead of JW with hopefully Lars Bender as the A.N. Other
