Only an Arsenal player can break a foot by having a ball kicked at him.
It's getting beyond a joke! I am sure whatever moves were lined up for Poldi won't happen unless they get cover for Giroud. Maybe every cloud has a silver lining but I doubt it. We've been extraordinarily lucky with Giroud's fitness over the last couple of years.

Balotteli at 16m is a steal he seemed keen to come to Arsenal , I know he has a lot of baggage but he must have been worth a punt at that price
He's 'a steal' for a reason. Wenger's no fool. Rodgers @ Liverpool is beginning to believe his own hype. After taming Suarez, he believes that he can do the same with Balotteli. Trouble is, the latter is a completely different proposition.Suarez is a simple soul, driven by basic emotions. But, above all, he loves football and he's desperate to win at all costs.
Balloteli, on the other hand, is a far more complicated individual. A sort of dilettante. He plays football because he can. He's far more interested in himself and his own needs than he is for his team mates, employers of, the fans.
Liverpool are in for a whole heap of fun.

At this rate we need a squad of 60 to get through a season.
Wenger has to strengthen this week or all the good work done in the transfer market this summer will have gone to waste for me.

Talk of Danny Welbeck this morning. To be honest I wouldn't be against that. He's English, quick and strong and has the ability to lead the line.
I agree, I am not sure why he is out of fashion - but always thought he is a great finisher and has the pace and strength we need up front.RacingPete said:

I'd be surprised if they sold a player to Arsenal unless it was for real silly money & Wenger i doubt wouldn't like to be seen to be getting mugged off, especially by Man Utd.Just an aside, Arsenal currently have two out of the all time top 6 most expensive British transfers playing for them. Not sure why a lot of goons moan about lack of spending.

Source?Wikipedia states it as only 2 in the top 19 most expensive British transfers.
Off to have a look

Di Maria aside it seems that it's 2 out of the first 7 with Ferdinand just pipping Sanchez by a 100k or so
Torres
Tevez
Ozil
Aguero
Mata
Ferdinand
Sanchez
It's also 2 out of the top 30 though! Apart from those two our next best is about £15mil. City probably have 15 players above £20mil! Torres
Tevez
Ozil
Aguero
Mata
Ferdinand
Sanchez
