Well neither were 'clear' without the aid of replays and his view was blocked for the Debuchy one.... We had a little bit of luck, yes but neither were stone wall pens played back at real time.

They were both debatable, I've seen them given but I don't think they were clear penalties. The first one the ball appeared to change direction and for the second Wilshere didn't touch him.

The second booking for Debuchy was very harsh and the booking for Chambers simply scandalous.

Alexis was outstanding once he got his goal. He really showed his quality, he was a real thorn, he was quick, strong and determined. The defence were excellent overall and our midfield looked quite balanced.

A difficult night but we've got through.

Yep agreed. When you look at it there were a lot of solid performances out there. Cazorla, Sanchez, Wilshere, The Ox, Koscielny, Debuchy.

Best I have seen Wilshere play for quite a while.....great to see. Alexis deffo is starting to look the part!
