We'll knock a million or two off if you take Anderson as well.

I feel slightly optimistic. No idea why. I think he can be good.

I can't describe how bitterly disappointed that not only did we not sign a DM but that we are going to sign someone as average as Danny Wellbeck.

If he was Spanish or German he would be 6 mill at a push and even then I wouldn't buy him.

''I think he can do a reasonable job''

thing is we don't need reasonable or average, or rather we SHOULDN'T be looking for reasonable.
i'd say it was pretty clear that Wenger wasn't in a hurry to get another striker until Giroud got injured - which shows his delusion, Giroud is a/ not good enough to help bag the right ratio of goals to challenge b/ we had no viable plan B for is he got injured - let's face it we got away with it last year under similar circs....

so 2 mths+ of trading and the next result is Alexis and now it seems Wellbeck for a daft fee if the reported numbers are indeed correct. Mmm £16m for him or 30-40m+ for someone that can help recoup that by staying in the CL next year or finishing higher up the Table or perhaps....help us win it.

Personally I feel sad to see Welbeck leave us as he is a quality player. He's just never been given a chance to play his preferred position at United which is a central striker. I think he will be great for you guys with the service he will be getting and if he gets his confidence back he will score 20+ a season.

Proof if it was needed that Wenger has become clinically insane!

We may aswell have kept Bendtner...

The moneys irrelevant for gods sake.

He's either going to turn out okay or not.

Clearly wenger was not in the market for a striker until giroud got broken.

At least he's done something.

Remy was a possibility, but fancied the wages at chelsea, i reckon wellbeck will do as good a job...... and with ox, jack, theo, ramsey et all.....well.....could be a great thing.
we are looking english heavy and young (aaron aside) for a change.

in our hearts we all new he wasn't gonna splash big up front.
we need a DM more.

Falcao will be gone from mufc next year to madrid, and they're back to square one

lets see

The money is completely relevant, and I personally couldn't give a fk if he is English or not, I want the best team and if that meant all foreigners then so be it. We have given 16 mill to our rivals for someone who is desperately average.

His concentration should have been on securing a DM or spending big bucks for a striker, instead we are left with currently no DM signing and an average striker, we have loads of those already.

It's a panic buy and a terrible one which sends out a statement that we are again settling for trying to get in the top 4.

Really not sure how I feel about Welbeck compared to the likes of Remy, Balotelli etc BUT I'll be cheering him on and hope his career flourishes....he 's certainly not had a decent run at Man U and with Giroud. What I like is that he's going to really want to prove a point and he 's got three months to prove himself.

As someone said on Twitter if three months ago you'd have heard that Arsenal were signing Alexis and Welbeck you'd have been happy...It 's the fking gaping hole in midfield that worries me.

3 months ago you'd have thought the Welbeck and Alexis would allow Arsenal to close the gap to Chelsea and Man City?

If Arsenal don't push forward the more talent players get frustrated and walk, as per RVP.

well not sure that many would have been that happy to have heard that our primary target for a striker ( that would have a higher conversion rate than Giroud ) was Wellbeck - 3 mths ago or not!

As for midfield - well i'm sure that Wenger will tell us that Diaby will be back soon!

We have applied for an extension, hopefully they say no and Man U can keep him.

rofl what morons! Just rushed through a transfer to please people. What is up with Arsenal and not wanting to actually have decent players in the team?!? Apart from 2, maybe 3 players they're really a team of championship players. As a team, they seem to get the results - but there's not much star talent in the squad.

I get the Feeling that Man U are delaying as Radamal is not a done deal, perhaps after all, this was one big ruse and that secretly Wenger has signed MR Falcao during the half time of his charity match.... or not.

I think once Falcao is confirmed the paper work will get confirmed.

I'll wait with baited breath to see what he can do, However my expectations are low.
