As a United fan, I'm pissed off that he's gone. I think he'll do really well at your place, playing in a favoured position. Better scoring ratio for England than the legend Ian Wright.
I wish him well, think he'll do really well at his new home. You've bought a cracking player who will flourish this season.

Be very interesting to see if Man U go the way of Chelsea and Man City and basically not bring through any youth players or this is a short term fix.

Anyone else find it strange Arsne hasn't said anything about the Welbeck signing yet? Very unlike him.
I wonder if it was his move or Ivan's?
Seem's there might be more to it as you suggested; Arsene quoted as saying if he had been in the country on deadline day, Welbeck wouldn't be with us now. I wonder if it was his move or Ivan's?
I haven't heard the actual press conference but surely it's simple really, when you're clearly short in key positions and want full control of who is signed; don't leave the country to referee a charity game.
I'm also a little surprised that he has come out and said this, surely it can't do Welbeck's confidence or respect for Arsene any good and also shows potential rifts in the management of the club.

Agreed, if it is true as reported, that is a really strange thing to say - complain internally, but don't create rifts.RacingPete said:

Even if all of what he says is true why make it public and dent your own player's confidence.Madness!!
