We certainly won't be favourites given the likely injuries.

I am guessing Diaby will play in the CL.
I hope so. He showed a lot of quality in the cup game. Exactly what we are missing IMO. Might as well get some use out of him before he hibernates to the medical room for winter.

Not sure what it is this season but I'm really struggling to get excited. I put it down to once again being a couple of players short between a scrap for 4th and challnging for honours. Same old, same old.

Play him against Chelsea. I think the last time he played against them, he dispatched JT with that unfortunate kick to the chops.

I think it's Giroud who is being given a new deal as his current one expires in a year.

Arteta being given a new deal would be truly shocking and signal Wenger having totally lost the plot.

I think Arteta has more merit than Flamini, Flamini neither has the neither physical presence/pace/ball control of a top class DM. Arteta at least has the ball control/passing skills.
Given that we're only at best going to ever going to sign one DM I'd rather have Arteta as back up than Flamini.

Anyone else going tonight ? Quite nervous given the injuries.

the team is good enough ... wont be a problem. or rather it shouldn't be...

im far more concerned with cfc battering us. that game will require some tactical nous. something wenger has v little of.

yes been bed bound with man flu the past few days and didn't think I'd be able too, but woke up this morning feeling a lot better. Can't wait.

Any news on Diaby? I hear he's not in the squad, Precaution or injured? Also hear Jacks available. And Sanchez should be fresh considering he hardly played at the weekend. Anyone know why he didn't start?

Wilshire is in the squad but Diaby is rested due to a hip problem.

Right now I am really really struggling to understand why Arsenal players are so dam fragile and how at such an early stage in the season there are big gaps in the squad from players out for weeks/months at a time.

I recall Arsenal getting some new members of the medical team with a view of trying to improve things but I can't see it making any difference right now.

I'm going, and looking forward to it. After getting beaten in Germany a solid win is needed, and then take that form into the weekend.
No Diaby, and I would guess Wiltshire on the bench.

Blimey, the Turks have made their presence known. Going to be a feisty atmosphere in the ground. I've also been hearing reports of them throwing flares into pubs.

I know they're naughty and stuff, but I do love the flares. Just not when they're thrown into crowds or on the pitch obviously.
