I'm confident Welbeck would be a success at Arsenal if he signs. I don't understand the negativity. He's young, quick, Strong & English.
You've not seen him play, have you?Of course, I'll save you the effort. He's still st and it was only Galatasary and stats mean nothing, blah, blah, blah.
Excellent performance tonight. I'm now more convinced than ever that the combination of Welbeck, Ozil & Alexis is a terrifying prospect for EPL defences. With Giroud and Walcott to come back as well we've got some fabulous options up top now.
Sanogo is finished at Arsenal and the prospect of Campbell getting a look in are looking more and more unlikely with every game.
As for Szczesny I've finally decided tonight he a clown who potentially will undermine us. I'd pick Ospina now as first choice to see how he gets on. I'm certainly of a mind we need to look elsewhere for another keeper I'm afraid.

Agreed with that, great win tonight.Sanogo is finished at Arsenal and the prospect of Campbell getting a look in are looking more and more unlikely with every game.

If Welbeck can continue to finish like he did tonight then even this man is going to struggle to eat enough humble pie.
But every time I try and give Szczesny the benifit of the doubt and defend him he goes and does something rash like tonight.

I know they're naughty and stuff, but I do love the flares. Just not when they're thrown into crowds or on the pitch obviously.
AwesomeWelbeck was awesome up front....and he finished superbly apart from the one he scuffed from the edge of the box. Alexis is amazing to watch but he does give the ball away quite a bit....my prediction is that he'll be on the bench for Chelski.
They were st though....fk me Schneider must be getting played plenty to pay for them.
Fork is out and I'm starting to eat that humble pie. Bloody hell it's not until you see Welbeck live that you notice he's power and pace, had flashbacks of a certain French chap at points during the game.
Disagree with schezzers, he's still young and he's ability is unquestionable. He is hot headed though and I'd be tempted to start Ospinia in the big games. But in Schezney we have a world class goalie on our hands IMHO.

Those Turks are lunatics!
Arsenal were brilliant.
Was impressed at how quickly defence turned into attack, there is no substitute for pace with the Ox,alexis and Welbeck. Must say that Welbeck took his chances very well with some composed finishing.
Bring on Sunday.

They were throwing an unbelievable amount of stuff on the pitch not just flares....plenty of coins. They also started throwing bottles up onto the middle tier....quite surprised the BiB who had their riot gear on didn't steam in when that happened.

Who's up for the away game at Galatasaray?
Seriously, they kicked off in town before the game letting of flares and generally being a nuisance as they marched in the middle of the street.
We were on the East Stand, not too far from their 'quadrant', and it was interesting to see how they divided into six sections, each with a leader stood up on his seat. I thought it wasn't too mad to begin with, but as soon as the second goal went in, they started letting off their flares and fireworks. Bib understandably cautious.
I noticed Podolski giving them a long hard stare during half time from the halfway line.

Sorry but I don't buy the he's still young bks. Szczesny has played 120 games for Arsenal now. He is rash and liability to make an absurd decision almost every game. He has a tendency to panic under pressure, this was witnessed in the game against Basiktas. I think he's Ok but do I think he's world class? Definitely not. I'm sorry hut for these reasons his ability is questionable, he's flawed in my opinion. Disagree with schezzers, he's still young and he's ability is unquestionable. Sorry Alfa, but a 24 year old goalkeeper is still young to me! Yes he's experienced but he's still has so much time on his side, and with the talent he possesses its up to him how good he wants to be. I've lost count over the past few seasons how many times he's pulled off a game changing save, which had he not would have turned the game completley. Unless im mistaken only Cech had more clean sheets then him last season, and that's playing behind our defence!
Yes he's rash and aggressive but I actually like that in a goalkeeper. He just needs to harness it a lot better which I'm sure he will.

Scezzer has got all the potential in the world....he's already pulled off a few game changing saves this season which he doesn't get credit for.
It was fine margins last night....the whole fking world knows the red card/penalty rule is ludicrous.
Ospina made a couple of belting saves last night too. Been a long time since we have had two keepers of this quality....in fact I can't remember when we last did? I suppose when we signed Richard Wright that was the intention but clearly he didn't work out.
