Sod the second half, we could have been 2 down before the penalty. We are just completely bereft of any tactical nous whatsoever. That was a clusterfk of monumental proportions, Wenger needs his arse kicking as at the end of the day tactical ineptitude is down to him. Merson summed it up perfectly, we're clueless, 5 players forward when were 3-0 up and under no pressure. I hate to say it but Maureen would have 2 defensive mids on and 10 behind the ball.
Yup Merson and also I think Haman were bang on.....Haman laid it squarely on Ramsey's door step "he was more interested in scoring a goal than the team winning"....utter cluster fk from the players in the last 30 mins. They looked shaky at the back the whole game. We should have shut up shop and brought Walcott on to kill 'em with pace on the break.
Monreal should just not be playing fking centre back and that is down to one person taking the risk of going into the season with only two centre backs. Yes he's been unlucky with Debuchy and Kozzer both being out long term but guess what we have been fking unlucky constantly for the last five years with injuries....maybe we should plan for them.

Was at the game last night, Anderlecht were a very average team, but sadly so is our defence. There were plenty of warnings in the first half giving them hope.
I have no idea why Wenger brought on podolski rather than Walcott, at a time when they were pushing forward there was plenty of space to be exploited by someone with pace. I can only think Wenger though he owes podders a run out after his decent appearence on Saturday, rather than look at what we actually needed on the pitch.

i've never been a huge Monreal fan ( in his normal left back position ) so seeing him in the centre doesn't inspire confidence.
( not picking on him for the result last night - that's another matter entirely). But has anyone seen Isaac Hayden play?
I recall reading somewhere ahead of the start of the season that he was/is an under 19 Eng international and that the journo expected him to get game time this year ( in the Prem )...
just wondering if it would make more sense to be brining someone like him through in some of these games whilst Kosser is out? or whether Hayden is really way off Prem ability/quality yet?

With the international break looming i'd keep Theo away from the first team at all costs. All too common result these days, sadly it doesn't surprise me any more.
It's always great to see us win, but so many good games are being undone by the bad ones.
I bet Bouldy tore them off a strip back in the changing rooms, I'd like to see him step it up a bit and challenge Wenger on some of his decisions, he doesn't look comfortable sat next to Wenger like a bloody puppet.

This sums it up for me. I just thought 'bloody hell not again' rather then being surprised or angry. We have no backbone, no leader. We need an Adams or a Parlour. Someone to dig in and set the tone when the st starts hitting the fan. Not a bunch of women who crumble at the slightest hint of pressure.
