WAKE UP!!! Do you think the players and the club these days actually give a flying fk about you? Let it go people it's easier, trust me."
I'm also pretty much in that place, numbness sums it up perfectly. But how much longer are even the staunch-est Gooners going to pay up to £115 for 90mins of gutless drivel ? We don't even play decent flowing football anymore,at least not this season. So what goes around comes around, will we give a f*ck for much longer ?MrMagoo said:
So a divided fan base is healthy for the club? If you've been to the Emirates lately you can see first hand how tense the atmosphere is there now. Not a nice place to be, and there's no doubt in my mind that the players will be affected by it.
Short term yes. I actually want change and wenger out asap. Alfahorn said:
That's a bit harsh as Stoke play better football these days but I take is point, it really shouldn't be happening.
Since we've been in the PremStoke 3-2 Arsenal
Stoke 1-0 Arsenal
Stoke 0-0 Arsenal
Stoke 1-1 Arsenal
Stoke 3-1 Arsenal
Stoke 1-3 Arsenal (1-1 until injury time )
Stoke 3-1 Arsenal (fa cup)
Stoke 2-1 Arsenal
That's 5 wins for Stoke and 1 for Arsenal .1 lucky win for Arsenal.
You're right it shouldn't be happening,we really shouldn't be losing to a second rate team like Arsenal

I think to hear that level of venom, he's more than used up any goodwill he may have once had. This will not end well... Its a sad state of affairs but he's paying the price for incessantly taking an ill equiped team into a season and hoping we'd get away with it knowing that the top teams and even some of the once cloggers are now much stronger its now starting to come back and bite him on the arse.
In any other business this is known as incompetance and the manager responsible would be sacked.

Great piece from Gunnerblog
I wonder if Arsene ever considers stepping in front of the press and saying:
“Fair enough, guys: this is one’s on me. I didn’t buy enough defenders and I didn’t organise the ones we do have sufficiently. It’s not good enough and, given that we have the January window ahead of us, I can assure you that we’re doing all we can to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
While it would cost his ego, it might make win some favour among an increasingly disaffected fanbase.
Most managers don’t admit guilt in press conferences because they’re afraid of giving their board an excuse to dismiss them. Wenger has no such worries, so it wouldn’t hurt him to take responsibility sometimes — I actually think it could even help to relieve the pressure. There’s a fine line between single-mindedness and myopia, and from his public comments it’s not always clear which side Wenger sits on. At least owning up would prevent people from saying he can’t see the problems.
And let’s be honest, the reason we lost is clear as day. Arsenal’s defending – and defenders — simply weren’t up to the task.

Jenkinson has made it into Garth Crooks beeb team of the week. Could AW simply recall him or is there much more to it legal/contractually?

You cannot recall players loaned to another Premier league team, it's in da rools.
Jenkinson looks a decent player.

Just seen it. He'll dismiss it as a minority, however I'm not so sure it's a minority anymore.
Bunch of inbred s abusing an old man who has given his all for the club. I'd like to think that's not the majority. I'd like a change, but I won't stoop as low as some so called Arsenal fans. Have a bit of fking class about yourselves. I've never been so embarrased to be an Arsenal fan after seeing that.

As pissed off with Wenger as I am, that sickens and embarrasses me..
why? seems like just like the conditions every other manager in every other team in europe is under. it sickens YOU because AW has never been put under the same pressure or questioned (ever) at afc. its therefore uncomfortable. i get that....
god forbid the poor dear tries managing in France, Italy, Spain, Holland etc let alone the other parts of the world like EE lol.... that lot would have burned his house down after 3 seasons trading his best players to keep his numbers up and him in a job at the price of a trophy's !
its all too late....
Wow, that was a shocker....
The booing was one thing....the vitriol in one voice another.
Wenger is completely in denial, and talking to the fans and admitting mistakes is not in his make up......which is a pity as i think we could all be bought with a bit of honesty.
I want a great Arsene Wenger at the Helm.....not the man who stands in front of the cameras and repeats himself week in week out believing its giving us enough.
He surely never watches his post match interviews......and if he does !!!!!!
This is not a comparison, but when John Terry never apologised for his behaviour as an england captain, it came as no surprise.
We all know he's pond, and like a kid stealing sweets just refused to apologise in the hope it would all go away.
Wenger has a flaw, that sadly will bring about behaviour as heard in the clip.
Its not right, nor is it me.....but he has pushed some over the edge.
Booing will happen when frustrations are high, and no one has the right to deny a paying season ticket holder his right to voice an opinion......cos lets face it, Wenger wont be reading negative press from anyone ......let alone the fan, so banners and boo's are all the tools some have.
I hate meeting mates in the pubs talking football, cos its all on us at the moment (and has been for five years plus)
Only saving grace is that that lot up the road are a worse shower......imagine how bad it would be if they could string two games together !!

In a nutshell ... the mid-table no-hopers from years gone by on their day can surprise even the best teams ... it's more even now ... Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
