I've just been looking at the staff profiles.

http://www.arsenal.com/staff

A few uni types in there, largely medical/fitness bods.

I don't know what's funnier...bidding for a 17 year old DMID or not actually bidding enough to get him. (If the papers are to be believed anyway).
Just what we need another 17 year old player frown

Absolutely. I don't doubt for a minute Szczesny has the talent, it's the application that I worry about.
He won the golden glove last year. He is still only 24. I don't think the make shift defence has helped at all this year.
Very good point about the basket case defence. The Times is saying this morning that we're looking at two German goalkeepers as possible summer replacements.

Suspect that's to get him to focus his mind.

If we weren't playing Stoke this weekend I reckon he'd find himself dropped but not sure it's the ideal game for Ospina to make his PL debut....

What WOULD be the ideal game for a 'keeper to make their debut in the Premiership? There are NO easy games in this League, anyone can beat anyone on their day, happened many times.

I wouldnt worry about playing Ospina, he looked great in the world cup, just unfortunate he came back from Brasil injured, or i could see more bench warming for Chesney.

There are no easy games, but there are easier games...perhaps Burnley, or Leicester, or QPR or Everton, would be better than any of the top 5, including the spuds.

Ospina's short for a keeper at only 6ft so I'd say a team likely to play a physical game with the tallest striker in the league is probably not ideal.

According to The Times Wenger's told the players that anyone smoking on club duty in the future will spend the rest of the season with the youth team. Scezzer's been told case is closed etc.

which is fair enough, for the amount of money they are on, im sure they can hold back for having a fag in the showers (oooer!)

Interesting comments from Scezzer's dad in the press. Echos what the fans have been saying this year, but as it comes from a former professional, also gives some tactical information on why the defence is so crap. Ok, it is in defence of his son, but still, it makes sense.

Also said in The Times that some of the more senior players have been unimpressed with some other behaviour recently....firmer hand was needed etc.

He is above average.... hehe

Good looking bench today for once, shame about Debuchy, how long for a dislocated shoulder? got to be a month at least.

Debuchy. That ball was going nowhere, but the Stoke player still felt he had to let his presence be known. Loved the way he walked off too.

I wonder if we'll be visited by any Stoke fans today.

Too easy today, the Ox, Santi and Alexis all pure class. Some of the football we played was bloody sexy biggrin

Bit weird how Sky Sports kept on talking about Ospina like he was some amateur newbie, and not a world cup keeper. Still a solid enough clean sheet.

Hope the Stoke fans enjoy their journey home laughlaugh

Yep, all round good performance. I would add Coquelin, Rosicky and Bellerin to that list of stand out performers.
