That flick from Ozil was sublime, he's been a different player since his return from injury. Finally seeing why the Real Madrid fans were so upset at his departure.
As for Wenger, this is the best team we've had for a very long time.
Time will tell whether we can truly compete with the very best with him at the helm. I hope he can.. One things for sure we are in a very strong position in the FA cup and Champions League. A lot will depend on our performances in these competitions.
1st Bold text - How long? Last 6 months? Last 6 years? What's changed? As for Wenger, this is the best team we've had for a very long time.

2nd Bold text - I can't get my head round that comment. Time will tell? How long do you need?
Best team we've had since 2006 I'd say....certainly strength in depth. We've had decent XI's but been massively reliant on one or two players...RVP/Cesc.
It's nice going into the close of the transfer window now hoping above all hope that we'd sign someone out of the blue to be bitterly disappointed.

It was a great performance yesterday albeit against a very very poor Villa side.
Ozil was great, the flick (both vision and technically) was indeed sublime and he does seem to have returned a stronger and more determined player. There were a few times when he did seem to drift in the game but I have a feeling that is the price we have to pay for moments like the flick.
I'm not sure what has happened to Santi in the last few months but he has rediscovered the form and desire that he showed throughout last season. His ability to keep the ball under pressure, go past defenders and find the killer pass has provided a lot of goal scoring opportunities recently.
I thought Coquelin had another fantastic game, he certainly showing the promise that could suggest he is the long term answer to the holding midfield role. That being said it is only a handful of games and I'd like to see a more experienced mature player bought in, with Flamini and a few others making way.
I thought Giroud had good game and his ability to hold up the long ball and allow others in to the game provides really benefits the 3 players behind him.
Like a couple of other posters, also think Ospina has made a big difference since Christmas. Our 2 centre backs are not always the most commanding pair, unlike Szczesny, Ospina seems to recognise this and commands his box well.
I'm glad Theo managed to grab a goal yesterday, especially as it was a well taken and clinical finish, however he still seems to be lacking confidence and that real turn of pace that was abundant before the injury. I know given the nature of the injury this was always likely and that by playing hopefully this will return however given the riches we have currently and the performances of the other players I'm not sure I'd have him in the starting 11. When Alexis returns I'd have him, Santi and Ozil starting behind Giroud.
The other player that is a slight concern at the moment is Ramsey, again I know he hasn't long returned from injury but he seems to almost be trying to hard and trying to do too much by himself. There were a number of times yesterday when he either tried to hold on to the ball or play an intricate pass when a simpler option was available. No doubting his ability but he seems to be so desperate to regain his form of last season that appears to cloud his judgement at times.

Yep, would agree with all of the above. I think Walcott would just miss out as being included in the three behind Giroud. How do you guys think this weekend's match will pan out?
Note too sure to be honest. Would be good to send a strong message out to the rest of the teams competing for those CL places that we have found some form and are looking to push forward and finish the season strongly. If we were at home I would be more confident, but I still think we might just sneak it 2-1.I realise it was a pants Villa side, but we did look decent without AOC; Sanchez or Wheelchair. Welbeck on his way back soon; Arteta is no doubt going to get more match time... Debuchy will be back from injury... Paulista will want some action too...
No wonder Cazorla has upped his game

fk knows who you pick to start out of Santi, Alexis, Sanchez, Walcott and Rosicky....suspect it comes down to Santi, Alexis and one of Walcott or Ozil but Wenger's played Rosciky in games like this in the past because he brings so much energy to the side and gives a but more all over the pitch. Quality problem....whoever doesn't play will get a game on Tuesday!
Over the summer I was very much of the opinion that if the board could find a suitable replacement then it was the right time to make the change. Has anything that I've seen this season changed that opinion; no, if we are able to find a suitable candidate then I think a change in manager would be the right thing to do. But that doesn't mean I'm foaming at the mouth screaming for Arsene to be sacked.
Whether we can find a suitable replacement is another matter entirely. Our board will have to go out of their way to reassure any possible candidate he will have the ability to manage the team as he sees fit including strengthening where he sees necessary without interference from the board (which I would assume will include Arsene).

We're looking good and performing well. At last. However, we're far from the finished article.
If it means Wenger has changed (albeit slightly) and does enough to continue this form, I'll settle for that. I've not been his biggest fan and at times I've called for him to go. If we're in a good place, what more can we ask for... other than for Chelsea to crumble, Man City to lose the plot and Manu to get back to some Moyes form.

Whats the general sensous in here now with the people who wanted Wenger out - still the same?
Not sure what our lot think who wanted Rodgers out - his support at the ground now is as strong as ever...
I'm absolutely resolute in my belief that for the club to compete again at the very highest level we need change. This is the problem with Arsenal. A handful of decent results and suddenly those that lackNot sure what our lot think who wanted Rodgers out - his support at the ground now is as strong as ever...
of conviction in their beliefs are behind Wenger again.
Let me be very clear on this. Whilst Wenger is Manager we will always be off the pace when it comes to the title race
and being serious contenders in the CL.
Too many times for too many years we've been making to the same mistakes, showing the same weaknesses. This is a good period but I can't see it being sustained.
