Enjoyed that.

Excellent performance start to finish. We totally controlled the game from the first whistle.

Most satisfying thing for me was the performance of Ozil, he was allowed to play in his favourite position and he was able to dictate the play. Giroud didn't start the game particularly well, however took both goals very well. Welbeck was quiet, however as I've said before he is a centre forward and not a wide player. Alexis played well too.

No alarms in midfield or at the back and I would add that Gibbs was excellent as well today.

Good performance that, since his return Ozil has been worth every penny we paid for him. Thought Gabriel had a very good debut, looked solid.

Wellbeck is a tricky one for me, if hes used as a wide man then he isn't as good as Theo or the Ox, and in his best position in the centre I wouldn't pick him over Giroud.

I'm hoping we get Liverpool or United in the next round personally.

Difficult to judge Gabriel as we didn't really give Middlesbro' a sniff throughout the 90 minutes. They had a good chance in injury time but other than that I can't recall anything of note?

Nothing tricky about the Welbeck situation. He is a centre forward and should be used as one. Not only do we get the best out of him when he plays up front, I also believe he prefers to play up there in a lone striker role. There were occasions when Welbeck and Giroud tried to switch positions yesterday but to little impact. I concede Danny isn't first choice, however with so many games between now and the end of the season he'll get chances to play in the striker role. I really do have every confidence in him and remain pleased we have him at the club.

Anyway, as you said could good performance and yes Ozil looked a £40m player yesterday.

Would you not prefer the big tie to be in the final for a better day out?

It's a good point, end up in the final against a lower level team and the expectation is that Arsenal should hammer them.

Reality is likely to be what happened against Birmingham City in the Carling Cup a couple of years back

Final day out is so much better when you are not expected to hammer them - a final v liverpool or utd would be hard one to call and make the day better imho

The 2-1 loss to Liverpool in the final several years ago was a dreadful game :-(

I see from the BBC Footie gossip pages that a Spanish radio station are claiming that Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Santi Cazorla in the summer.

Hopfully not true.

Hopefully not, but it's known he wants to return to Spain at some point. I think its likely he'll go in the summer which is a shame.

A good win for you chaps today, up to 3rd now. Giroud is having a really good season - he's much improved from what I've seen.

Not sure why he went so defensive with the subs other than to give them a run out. Didn't really go to plan, really should always attack
