I just love the lack of reaction from our Chelsea supporting friends....any other major team and the forum thread would be alive with debate about the rights and wrongs of selling a player to one of your nearest rivals. Chelsea ? Nope. Anyone would think they've only been supporting for a few years and are transient fans.
Or trust the manager's decisions as he has delivered a premier league? Also, there is history, Mata went to Man U as one of the fan's favourites and it has proved a good decision by Chelsea as, love him or hate him, he makes the big decisions to get the team right.
aaaaa, blind faith.

Outfield payers are slightly different - tactics play a bigger part - I cant imagine too many Chelsea fans are happy he is going to Arsenal as opposed to PSG.
Nope. He can do no wrong....which is why Man U among others wanted nothing to do with him.

David Orenstien (BBC journo) who is effectively mouth piece of the club saying Cech is having his medical today. Alfa you can allow yourself to believe!

Just come here to post that! Gotta happen now surely.....

If conventional wisdom says arsenal needed 2 or 3 world class players to genuinely complete, then that is one of them there.

If that is how you 'support' a team, I would hate to see the ones you don't like.

I ll also put on record I have a 50 euro bet placed that we will win the league next year. That's what supporters do mate.
Don't call me mate, you and I will never be mates. I don't like your online persona, we have opposing views in the club our aspirations, views on the manager, team and so on. I'm also not interest in what you consider the criteria of what supporters do. Howefer, it is highly unlikely you spent more money than I have over the last 30 years following Arsenal around the country.

Some 18 months ago I suddenly started being attacked on here by you on a frequent basis for my views on Arsenal even resorting to try to get a rise out of me for my choice in car. I had never even engaged in conversation with you at that point, I don't know who you are, I don't care who you are.

I would kindly ask that you ignore my posts and the views expressed in them. I will do likewise. If you can agree to this and adhere to it then we need not bother each other again or bore other contributors.

It's up to you, however either way this is the last time I will respond to you in anyway.

Fingers crossed he fails and stays at Chelsea.

You could go and debate it with your mates in the Chelsea thread. Ah yes....small problem even the Notts Forest thread has seen action more recently.

Not yet.

I want that all important confirmation from the club or player. This is one of the players I said I'd love us to sign not expecting it could/would actually happen.

I don't know why it appears; the fee and terms have been agreed with Chelsea, terms have been agreed with the player and the medical was supposedly completed yesterday why then the deal STILL hasn't been confirmed?

We do seem to be the slowest of the slow when it comes to completing transfer deals.

The window hasn't even opened yet and I've not heard of any big clubs other than LFC who have completed any transfers yet.

top trolling, eh, mate.

I could argue a lot of those points, but you seem bereft of any reason or open mindedness to anyone's opinion but yours.

I meant more about the time it seems to take to conclude the deal after any proposed deal has been subject to widespread reporting as opposed to how many signings we've made compared to other clubs.

I don't want to be a Liverpool or a Spurs where they're making 6-7 signings in the summer. It doesn't appear work out particularly well based in the evidence. We also saw that to a lesser extent with Man United last season.

I think in this case it's purely because the deal can't be concluded officially until 1st July and love it or loathe it that's Arsenal for you! They signed some Romanian kid last week who put a photo of him and Dick Law when he was signing his contract on Twitter and the club have been silent on that too.

It's an extraordinary bit of business. Having said I would like him at the club not thinking for a million years that it was in any way realistic. I just want to hear it's done.

Changing the subject. I've been thinking about the striker situation. We have Giroud, Welbeck, Walcott & Sanchez who can play as a central striker. I think we've got great variety possibly of any of the top clubs. Having said I think we need a striker, I'm not so sure. I'd like to see these players better utilised next season, I think there's so much more to come from this quartet.

So, assuming we get the Cech deal done. I just want that dynamic midfield player to work alongside, compliment or support Coquelin.

Fill those two positions and don't lose anyone important and I'll be well happy.

Most things about this seem to fit, and I'd love to see him show the form he displayed at the WC in an Arsenal shirt.

Seems like we were after Schneiderlin but wouldn't compete on price with Man U and now Vidal looks to be favourite....quite different players but hey I am not fussy! My guess is if we get Vidal and Cech done then we'll be outing a few players Poldi, Campbell, Flamini, Ospina and then if the right striker comes up for sale they might move but I don't think we'll be chasing anyone. We've done pretty well out of Real's and Barca's cast off's the last two seasons.

Oh yes Alfa....you forgot Sanogo....no need for a striker!
